Meeting of May 25, 1948
> > The Southold Town Board met .at the office of Supervisor Norman
E. Klipp on May 25, 1948. The meeting was called to order at
1:30 P.M. b Supervisor Norman E. K11

present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Clark and Albertson;
Superintendent of Highways Price, and Town Attorney Terry.
-* Motion was made -by Justice Terry and seconded by Justice Clark
that the reading of the minutes of the last meeting be dispensed
with as Town Clerk, Booth. is confined to the hospital. Supervisor
Norman .E. Klipp appointed Justice Albertson Town Clerk pro-tem.
Mr. Russell Davison talked at length on the possibility of having
that property that is now owned by the commoners of' Southold Town
tax exempt. This matter was left to be taken up with the. assessor
or other. proper authority. -
,, ,, Resolution- was made by Justice Clark, seconded by Justice Terry,
authorizing Justices of the Peace of Southold Town to attend`
school at New York University on June 3rd and'4th, and Welfare
, �. Officer of Southold Town to .attend school at. Hobart College at
Geneva, New York, Jur�}e 16th to 19th -inclusive.

2here' was a discussion on the appointment of a Deputy Town Clerk.
No- action was taken. Letter was read from the Minnipaug Club
and necessary action was taken.
._y Resolution wade by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry:
Resolved that Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be authorized to make
any necessary changes in personnel at the town dump to facilitate
proper care of same.
Unanimously adopted.
Resolution made by Justice Terry; seconded Justide Clark;
resolved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held
at the office of-Norman. E. Klipp on Tuesday, June '8, 1948, -at .' .

Resolution made-by .Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark;
Resolved: That application and dedication of .Nelson 'S. Robinson,
Frank -H. Robinson,Jr. , and Arthur B, Gordon fore-the laying out of
and maintaining three (3) new highways. Griswold Street, Terry
' Court, and Glover Street be accepted.
Unanimously adopted.

, Terry: Resolved that George Drum and Frank Tyler be appointed as
special constables without compelment for the purpose .of directing
traffie 'at their respective churches.
