Meeting cf May 4, 1948
=> A special meeting of the Southold Town Board .was held at the
Supervisor's Office 'at Gieenport, on Tuesday, May 1+, 1948. The
_meeting was called toorder at 1:30 P.M. by 'Justice Terry who -
�; presided in the absence of Supervisor Klipp. The following were
present: Justices Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark; Town Super-
intendent of Highways, Price; Town Attorney, Terry and Town Clerk,
Booth-.
The purpose of this meeting was -to open bids submitted for alterations
and repairs on the concession stand at the Southold Town Beach.
The Town Clerk presented affidavits of proof of publication. One
bid was. received w ich was submitted by Harold R. Reeves & Sons. _
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:

-�. Be it RESOLVED} that this .Board find and determine, and itdoes

hereby find and determine, that the proposal of Harold R. eeve
and Sons to relocate, repair, remodel and improve the concession
buij inn atethe Town Beach, in accordance with the plans and specs-
} � fica ions'AAis the lowest responsible proposal for 'said work, and .be
it further
RESOLVED, that the said proposal of said Harold R. Reeve and Sons
be, and the same is hereby accepted, and be it further
RESOLVED, that this Board enter into an agreement with the said
Harold R. . Reeve and Sons for the• relocating, repairing, remodelling
--, and improving the said concession building at Town Beach, in a'c=
cordance.,with the aforesaid plans and specifications, at the prices
� mentioned - in said proposal of the said Harold R. Reeve and Sons, which
-=s said contract shall be in a form satisfactory to the Town Attorney
and shall require thessid Harold R. Reeve and Sons to furnish a
contractors performance bond for the faithful performance of said
contract.
Unanimdusly adopted. ;
-- Henry Tasker Esq. , appeared before the Board in behalf of the property
owners at Silvermere, Greenport, in regard to the matter of taking
over the ,road and beach' which 'the Board has had under consideration
r� for some time. The Board felt they should have a statement
in writing in regard to the amount of fill Mr. A. Halsey Brown
' -' is going to donate for this road.
At -4 'P,M: the Board went to view the road at Silvermere Greenport,
and Grove Road, Meadow Lane and Mill Creek Drive at. Southold, also
the Town property which was formally the Zimmer property at
Greenport:
