The Meeting was called to order at 1:3Q .P.M. with the foll&wing present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry; juth, ll; Albertson and Clark; Town Superin- tendent of Highways Price; town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as . read. _1 Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board be held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport on Tuesday, Dec. 69 1949, at 1:30 P.M. �• Unanimously adopted. ' The date of this meeting was later changed to Thursday `Dec. 8, 1949. Moved by Justice Tuthill seconded by Justice Clark: i Resolved: That John C. uthill. of Mattituck and Ernest W. Middleton of Fishers Island be and hereby are appointed dog enumerators for the Town of Southold for the, year 1950. Unanimously adopted. The hearing on the matter of purchasing machinery for the Town Highway Department was duly opened at 2 o 'clock P.M. No person �1- appeared before the Board to speak against the items mentioned in the legal notice published in the Town Newspapers, the hearing was closed at. 2:30 P.M. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry: Whereas, the Town Superintendent of Highways did on the 22 day of T November, duly recommend the purchase of certain machinery pur- suant to the provisions of Sec. 142 of the Highway Law , and a notice of such recommendation has been duly published as provided in such. section. Now Therefore Be It Resolved that pursuant to Section 142 of the �'- Highway Law, and a notice of' such recommendation has been duly, published as provided in such section. . Now Therefore Be It Resolved that pursuant to Section 142, of the Highway Law the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase from Cutchogue Auto Sales, with the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways:. One (1) Model 8 R 8, TR 2' Ton_­ Ford Truck Chasstis with 2J yd- Dump body for a total price of Two Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty-five dollars ($2,725.00) delivered .at Peconic, N.Y. , and to be delivered on or about November 30, 1949. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Tuthill: } Whereas , the Town Superintendent of Highways did on the 22 day of -� . November, 1949, duly recommend the purchase of certain machinery pursuant to the provisions of Section 142 of ' the Highway .Law, and a notice of such recommendation has been duly published as provided -� in such section. -T Now, Therefore Be It Resolved that pursuant to section 142 of the Highway Law the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase from Municipal, Machinery Co. with the approval of the County Superintendent of' Highways: Two Frink one-way snow plows for a total price of One Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($1,600.00) r, delivered at Peconic, and to be delivered on or about December 30,1949.
