HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-09/20/1949 218 Meeting of September 201. 1949. { . The Southold Town Board met at the office of Su ervisor Norman E fir-+ Klipp at Greenport on Tuesday, September 209 19 9. The meeting. was called to order at 1:30 P.M. . with the following present: ,. Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry; Tuthill; Albertson and Clark; Town Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk ~ " Booth. The minutes of. the previous .meeting were read and duly approved as read. `- James Gagen and Eugene Gagen appeared before the 'Boa.rd, protesting about produce loaded 'trucks parking in wont of their premises on Youngs Ave. across the road from the Cauliflower Assn. Auction �^ Block. Theyrequested the Board to have no parking signs erected in front of their property. The Board stated that as the auction Block was open only part time it would not be practicable to place 1 such signs. Oupervisor Klipp stated he would take the matter up with Dwight Corwin, Manager of the Cauliflower Assn. to see if there could be some provision made for trucks to park on the cauliflower Association propertty. Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board be.- held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, on Friday, r - Oct. 7,1949, at 1:30 P.M. Unanimously adopted. The. date of this meeting was later changed to Tues . Oct. 41 1949. M ved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry: r - WRereas - a resolution was duly adopted by the Town Board on July 5; 1949, authorizing the Supervisor to inter . into a contract with - the Lawlou Corp, for the purchase of the premises now occupied by the ''own Clerk' s office and, Whereas, the said Lawlau Corp. has otherwise disposed of this property. Therefore, Be It Resolved: That said resolution be and hereby is rescinded. Unanimously adopted. � The required signatures having been obtained, the Board approved and signed the paperspertaining to Peninsula .Road at Fishers. Island. i Adjournment was at 4:45 P.M. Ralph P.
