1 � Meeting of September 7, 1949.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E.
Y" Klipp at Greenport, on Wednesday, September 7, 1949. The meeting
was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry; Tuthill; Albertson and Clark; Town
Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town
- Clerk Booth.
The following persons, Dr. Emerson, Dr. Daley, Mr. Wolosik, Mr.
Wells Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Wenzel, Mr. Bubbe, Mr. Miller., Mr.-F.W.
Teves, Mr. Eagen, Mr. Knowles, Dr. Fischer and Harry Smith, property
owners from Indian Neck and South Harbor, appeared before the Board
stating that.. during the 1938 hurricane the channel extending from
Richmonds Creek to the bay was filled in so that it was impassable
for power boats and requested the Town Board to have it dredged.
Supervisor Klipp informed them that there was no money in the
budget for such a project. Dr. Emerson Suggested that he thought
-there was enough interest among the property owners to make a
+' small contribution if the Town would assume the balance of the
�. expense. Supervisor Klipp stated he would take the matter up with
the County Engineer and have it surveyed and secure figures on
--r what the project would cost.
' The Board sat as a Committee on audit to examine claims against
, w the Town concluding the audit work at 3:30 P.M.
The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and duly approved
as read.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
Resolved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held
at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, on Tuesday, Sept.
207 1949, at 1:30 P.M.
Unanimously-adopted.
Lawyer Krupski appeared before the. Board petitioning the Board to
take over and work as a public highway a proposed road at Mattituck
on the property of Julius Zebroski and Frank Tuthill:
Moved by Supt. of Highways; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That the Town Board view the proposed road at Mattituck
on the property of Julius Zebroski and Frank Tuthill in consideration
of taking it over as a public highway.
Unanimously adopted.
Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That General Bills in the amount of 01,492.18, Lighting
„ District Bills in the amount of $1,164.27, Non-reimbursable Welfare
Bills in the amount of $12. 76, Town Trustee Bill in the amount ,of
$5.00 and Fishers Island Ferry District Bills, Account #2, in the
_T amount of $9,855.99, b? and the same are hereby ordered paid.
Unanimously adopted.

Resolved: That inasmuch as the required dedications have been
received, map of same duly filed and the necessary papers signed,
the Town Board take over and maintain as a public highway Tuthill
Road, at New Suffolk.
Unanimously adopted.
Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Albertson:
Resolved: That the Police Report for the month of August be accepted
by the Town Board and placed on file.
Unanimously adopted.
