HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-05/06/1949 0 Meeting of May 6, 1949 1-_ The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport on Friday, May 6, 1949. The.meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Super- visor Klipp; Justices Terry; Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. " The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the Town, concluding the audit work at 2:15 P.M. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as read. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held at the office of the Supervisor on Tuesday, May 24, 1949, at 1:30 P.M. Unanimously adopted. Moved by;Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry:: Resolved: That @eneral bills in the -amount of $1:9.017.60, Lighting " District Bills in the amount of $1,146.32; non-reimbursable Welfare Bills in the amount of $21.42 and Fishers Island Ferry District Bills Acdount No : 2 in the amount of $11,946.37 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark: Resolved: That the Police Report for the month of April be accepted by the Beard and placed on file. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry: Resolved: That Supervisor NormanM. Klipp be authorized to trans- fer two Thousand Dollars (#2,000.00) from Fishers Island Ferry District Account #1 to Fishers Island Ferry District Account #2. Account #1 to be reimbursed in 'like amount by subsequent receipts from Account #2. y Unanimously adopted. A Public Hearing will be held at the office of the Supervisor of Southold Town at Greenport, N.Y. on May 24, 1949, at 2:00 o ' clock, P.M. (Daylight Saving Time) to consider the following proposed ordinance. " SOUTHOLD TOWN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE RAISING .AND KEEPING OF ~ + DUCKS WITHIN THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD. s SECTIONI: No person, fLrm or corporation shall establish,operate or ` maintain any commercial enterprise for the raising and keeping of ducks �- within the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, without first ti R, obtaining written permission of the Town Board, after filing written application therefore with the Town Clerk. T' -SECTION:2: No person shall raise or keep ducks for personal or family rr use, in excess of 150, without first obtaining written permission of the Town Board. t SECTION 3: No person, firm or corporation shall cause, allow or per- Y � mit waste matter resulting from the raising and keeping of ducks to be deposited in any waters or lands under water the control of r which is vested in the Town of Southold or the Board of Trustees of the Town of Southold, SECTION 4: Any violation of this ordinance shall constitute a mis- demeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 r-a or imprisonment for not more than one year or by both such fine and imprisonment.
