The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp,
at Greenport, N.Y. , on Tuesday, April 197 1949. The meeting was
called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor
Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson and Clark; Town Superintendent of
Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as
read.
_ Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this board be
held at the office of the .Supervisor at Greenport' on Friday, May 6,
1949, at 1:30 P.M.
Unanimously adopted.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
Whereas, it is the intention of the Town Board of the Town of Southold to
-T; establish recreation facilities and
Whereas , the Town of Southold is about to submit an application for
such a project to the New York State Youth Commission for its approval
and if approved, toapply subsequently to the State of New York for
" '• partial reimbursements of funds expended on said project, ,as provided by
Chapter 556 of the Laws of 1945, as amended;
Now, therefore, be it
Resolved: That tuch application is in all respects approved and
Norman E. Klipp9 Supervisor, is hereby directed and authorized
to duly execute and to present said application to the New York State
Youth Commission for its approval.
' r This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
Resolved: That pursuant to section 145 of the Highway Law the Town
of Southold- purchase 3 acres of land containing a gravel bed, from
Julius Zebroski at Sound Ave. , Southold for the use of the Highway
Department.
Unanimously adopted.
A letter was read from the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce requesting the
Board to pass a resolution prohibiting parking vehicles on the Southerly
portion of Bay Avenue.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That parking of any or all vehicles on a portion of Bay
Avenue, beginning at the intersection of Bay Avenue and Peconic Bay
Boulevard• and extending south towards Peconic Bay for a distance of
375 feet, shall be prohibited and no parking signs be erected on both
sides of this section of the highway.
Unanimously adopted.
