Meeting of December 29, 1950
The Annual Meeting and the Annual Audit Meeting of the Southold Town
Board was held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Green-
port, on Friday, Dec. 29, 1950. The meeting was called to order at
1:30- P.-M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp;, Justices
Terry,Tuthill Albertson and Clark; Town Superintendent of' Highways
Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were duly approved
as- reAd.
Moved by Justice Albertson; Seconded by Justice Terry:
Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board be
held at the office of the_, Supervisor at Greenport on Tuesday, January
9, 1951.

' Resolved: That the Town Board does hereby approve License Contract
No.. D A - 19 - 0;6 - eng-545 between the Fishers Island Ferry District
and the Department of- the Armyfor use of a 'certain parcel of land to-
gether with buildings and docks, : located at New London, Conn. for a.
period of one year, ginning Oct. 1, 1950 and ending Sept. 30, 1951.9
both dates inclusive. ... ..!

The hearing. on the matter. of purchasing machinery ,for ,the Highway Depart-
ment which was advertised in accordance with Section 142 of .the. Highway
Law was duly opened at 2:30 P.M. No person appeared before the
Board to speak either for or against the items mentioned in the -
, legal notice, the hearing was closed at 3 P.M.

Whereas , the Town.Superintendent ,of Highways did on the 30th, day of
Dec. , . 1950, duly;,recommend the purchase of two Model` L-192 142" wheel-
base dump trucks pursuant to the provisions of Section' 142 of the _
Highway Law, and, a notice of such recommendation<,has been duly pub-
lished as providdd in such section.

Now therefore Be- .It Resolved, that pursuant to Section 142 of ,the High-
way Law the ,Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized 'to
purchase from the,.:Longg Island Produce & Fertilizer Co. with the ap-
proval of the County uperintendent of Highways, Two 'Model L-192
142" wheelbase Dump Trucks, with two speed axel,Standard Cab, Heater
& Defroster, Extra Mirror, Signal Lights, Reflecton.s, & Flares, with
4 cubic yd. body & hoist for a total price of $152339.00 less a trade
in allowance . of2,000.00 on one- 191+0 and one 1941 International
Dump Trucks, Payment to be made by- a check of $139339.00 from the
Machinery.: Fund.

Southold and the Long Island Lighting Company for Mattituck Lighting
District No. 2 be and hereby is approved by the Town Board. Said

increase in salary of one dollar per day or a bonus in event th ,rrfe�..,tis

Resolved: That the increase in salaries requested by the Town Police

parties of this appointment.
