Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, Aug. 81 1950. -The meeting was called to order at 1;30 P.M. with the following present: . Supervisor Klipp, Justices Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark, � Town Superintendent of Highways Price, Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the Town concluding the audit work at 2:30 P.M. The Minutes of the previous meetings were read and duly approved as read. At 2:00 P.M. , in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids were opened for proposals to furnish the Town of Southold a new steam heater for the Town Highway Building, at Peconic. Moved by Justice 'Albertson, seconded by Justice Tuthill. Resolved: That the Greenport Oil Heating Company be awarded the contract for the furnishing of a new steam heater to be installed at the Town Highway Building at Peconic. T: a Unanimously adopted. - A communication was received from Eloise Bowden requesting a leave of absence from Aug. 15 to Sept. 14, 1950. Moved by Justice Albertson, seconded by Justice Terry: Resolved: That Eloise Bowden be granted a leave of absence , without compensation, from her duties as Junior Stenographer from Aug. 15 to Sept . 14, 1950, both dates inclusive. Unanimously adopted. An application was received from Henry Santacroce for appointment as constable for the Town of Southold. Moved by Justice Clark, seconded by Justice Albertson: Resolved: That the application of Henry Santacroce for appointment as constable for the Town of Southold be laid on the table for further consideration. Unanimously adopted. - > Moved by Justice Clark, seconded by Justice Terry: Y Resolved: That the Board make its official visit to Fishers Island on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 1950 and that the Supervisor be authorized to arrange for transportation. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Terry, seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That the Police Report for the month of July be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Terry, seconded by Justice Tuthill: � .. Resolved: That the Town Board does hereby approve the letter agreement between the Fishers Island Ferry District and E. S. Wilcox in the operation of the vessel Col. John E. Baxter in the sum of $ 15,436.00, from July 11 to J741y 319 1950, both dates inclusive. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Terry, seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That General Bills in the sum of $ 2574.93, Lighting District ' Bills in the sum of $ 1219. 73, Non-reimbursable Welfare Bills in the sum of $ 21. 51, Fishers Island Ferry District Bills Account #1 in the sum _ of $ 1454.71, Fishers Island Ferry District Bills Account #2 in the sum of - ' 16,821.76, be and the same are hereby ordered paid.
