Meeting of JaISr, 13
A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the office of
Supervisor Dorman E.- Klipp at Greenport, on Thursday, July 13, 19509
The .meeting was called to order at 7 P.M. with the following present:
yl Supervisor Klipp, Justices Terry, Tuthill , Albertson acid Clark,
Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider submitting a bid for the
lease of the Air Field on U. S. Government property at Fort H. G. Wright.
Offered by Justice Henry A. Clark,
- ? , 'Seconded by Justice Lester M. Albertson.
_�. WHEREAS, the Air Field, including hangar building #254, on
United States Government property at Fort H' G. Wright , Fishers Island,
New York, has been declared to the General Services Administration for
disposal as excess to the needs of the Department of Defense, and

WHEREAS, said property has been offered for lease, and
WHEREAS, it is the considered opinion of a majority of the members
of the .Town Board of the `town of Southold that the acquisition of said
Ait Field and huilding it in thB .best interests of the people of the
Town of Southold,'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Supervisor of the Town of
Southold be and he hereby is authorized and instracted to submit a bid
for the lease of said Air Field and hangar building #254 for a monthlo
rental of 6NE ($1. ) DOLLAR per month and if his bid is accepted, to enger
into a lease for said purpose.

Upon the foregoing vote, Supervisor Norman E. Klipp declared
the above resolution duly adopted.
