The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M, with the following present : Supervisor Klipp; Justices 'ferry; Tuthill; Albertson and Clark; Town Superin— tendent of Highways Price and Town Clerk Booth. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as -- read. - Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry: Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this board be held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport on Tuesday, July 11., 1950, at 1:30 P.M. Y� Unanimously adopted. r Claims against the Town were audited by the board. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice rTe2Zry: Resolved: That General Bills in the sum of $1,602047 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Unanimously adopted. Resolved; That the Town Board hereby requests the State Traffic Commission, pursuant to article 7 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. to place' signs restricting speed limit to 30 M.P.H. on the County High— way two hundred feet west of Mill Colony Road and five hundred feet east of the Southold Town Beach. Unanimously adopted. The Commissioners of the Mattituck. P'ark District requested the Town Board to place additional poles and street lights in the 1dattituck + Lighting District No. 1. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice 'ferry: - Resolved: That the Supervisor be authorized to take necessary steps to amend the contract between the 'Town of Southold and the Long Island r. Lighting Company to place additional poles and street lights in the ` r Mattituck Lighting District No. 1 as requested by the Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District. Unanimously adopted. A communication was read from William H. Granger requesting a leave of absence for three months from his duties as constable of the Town of Southold. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded- by Justice Terry: Resolved: That the request of leave of absence by William Granger, Constable of the 'Town of Southold be laid on the table until such time as request is accompanied by a certificate of a qualified physician residing and practicing in the Town of Southold, such certificate to indicate to the satisfaction of the Town Board that William H. Granger is unfit to continue and pePform his duties as r Patrolman (Constable ) of the Southold Town Police Department. Unanimously adopted. Y r } Moved by Justice 'Tuthill ; seconded by Justice Albertson: Resolved: That the contract for the purchase of uniform caps , shirts and pants for the rolice Department be awarded to Abe brown.
