The meeting was called to order a_ at • 1:30 P. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by J ustice Terry: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board be held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, on - Tues . , n Tues . , Dec. 11, 19511 at 1:30 P.N. Unanimously adopted. .^ Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Clark: Whereas , Chapter 326 of the Laws of 1948, requires the Town Board to designate by resolution newspapers of the- Town in which the Town Tax notice shall be _ published , Therefore Be , It Resolved: That the Town Board does hereby designate } the Long Island. Traveler-Mattituck Watchman and the Suffolk TimesVto publish the Town Tax'notice for the years 1951-1952. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry: RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be empowered to place an order with the Burroughs Adding Machine Company for a Burroughs Typewriter Tax Accounting Machine to be used in the tax office , said machine to be paid for from the budget of 1953. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry: { RESOLVED: That Bond No. 2433234 issued by the Fidelity and Casualty _ Company of New York, in the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) on behalf of Receiver of Taxes Edwin F. Salminen, be and the same is hereby approved as to its •form, sum, manner of execution and sufficiency of surety therein. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Albertson: RESOLVED: That the Town Board approve the request of the Town Trustees dated November 19, 1951 , that an exception be granted to the Town Ordinance affecting the taking of escallops not having a clearly defined annual growth line from Mill Creek, Laughing Waters and Broad Waters to prevent the loss and destruction of such escallops in these ..� areas. The exception is in accordance with Section 1565 Subdivision 1, of the New York State Conservation Law, and will provide that special permits will be issued by the New York State Conservation Department rry to residents of the Town of Southold who have secured a diggers per- mit, allowing such residents to take by hand power in an amount not - exceeding fire ( 5) bushels per person per day of escallops not having a clearly defined growth linifrom the areas of Mill Creek, Laughing ','- Waters and Broad slaters from December 1 dates inclusive. , 1951, to January 31, 1952, both Unanimously adopted. The Board canvassed the ballot cast for the Library appropriatio.n_'.in � the General Election of Tuesday, November 6, 1951, The vote was as follows : Yes 762; No 213 . The proposition to appropriate 12, 500.00 annually for the fiscal years 1952-1953 , for the support of public libraries in the Town of Southold was duly declared passed. ~ " Adjournment was at 4:45 P.
