Meeting of May 22, 1951 ._
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp '
at Greenport on Tues. , May 22, 1951. The meeting was called to order at
1:30 P.M. with the following present:-Supervisor Klipp; JusticesTerry;
Tuthill, Albertson, and Clark; TowriLSuperintendent of Highways Price `
and down Clerk Booth. •-
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were duly approved r
as read.
Moved by Justice Albertson seconded by Justice Terry:
Resolved:,. That the regularmonthly audit meetingodf this Board will be
held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, on Tues. , June 5,
1951, at 1:30 P.M.
Unanimously adopted.
The following resolution was offered by Justice -Albertson;- seconded
by Justice Terry and was unanimously adopted by a rising vote. <.
Whereas , God in his Providence has taken from our midst the spirit
of Radford C.. Shanklin, and
Whereas, Radfoed C. Shanklin served the Town of Southold as Justice
of the peace, Deputy Town Clerk and Sub-registrar ofj.VitAl btatistics
faithfully and efficiently 'for a period of 28 years. 1'
Therefore, Be It Resolved:. That the Southold Town Board deeply mourns 4,1
the passing of this friend and associate and extends itd profound
sympathy to the members of his family in their bereavement. '
Be It Further Resolved: That the Town Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the members of his
family and a copy of the Resolution be spread upon the minutes of
this meeting and become a part of the public record of the Town of �-
Southold.

Moved by Justice Tuthill; Seconded by Justice Albertson:
Resolved; , that the plan prepared attthe request of this Board for
the improvement of town highways and covering all projects con-
templated by it, pursuant to Chapter 824 of the Laws of 1950, as
filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold,
County of Suffolk, on the 22 day of May, 1951,. be and the same is
hereby adopted;
and be it further
Resolved, that copies of such plan be filed in the appropriate State
and County office in accordance .with the provisions . of Section 29 r
Chapter 824 of the laws of 1950.
Ayes: Supervisor Klipp, Justice Albertson, Tuthill and Clark.
Not Voting:. -Superintendent of Highways Price and Justice Terry.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: '
Resolved: That the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to request y
the Long Island Lighting Company to install one additional aerial
street light in the Southold Lighting District, said light to be
Placed on pole # 756 at the intersection of Mechanic Street and
the Main Road, also transfer the aerial street light from pole #3 55
to pole #741, at the intersection of Oak Lawn Avenue and the Main
Road, said lights to be of b00 c.p. '
Unanimously adopted.
