A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the office/
�► of S-upervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport on Thursday,, January 25,'
1951. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. with the fol-
lowing present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill; Albertson and
Clark; Town Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry
and Town Clerk Booth..'
The purpose of this meeting was to increase salaries before the
•U1S. Government freeze became effective.
Moved by Justice 'Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That the salaries of Chief of Police Otto L. Anrig;
Patrolman-Constable Henry Y. King; James P. Kelly; Theodore B. Howard;
and Watchman Walter Bondarchuk be and hereby are increased sixty
. cents (60#) per day and that Patrolman-Constables Henry B. Faucon.;
Barney P. Harris and Joseph Sawiski salaries be and hereby are in-
creased thirty-cents (30¢-) per day; effective as of January 25, 19f5,
and
•_► Be It Further Resolved: That the additional funds be transferred from
the 'surplus fund to the general fund.
Unanimously adopted.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That the salaries of Eloise Bowdeni Jr- Stenographer;
-� Ella. L.. Phillips , Sr. Stenographer; Marion Arnold, Jr. Clerk, be
increased Two -,.hundred dollars per .year; and the salary of Dorothy
Wells , Provisional Jr. Clerk, be increased one hundred dollars per
year, effective as of Jan. 25, 1951, and
Be It Further Resolved: That the additional funds be transferred
from the surplus fund to the general fund.

Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That the salary of Albert W. Richmond, Jr. Clerk, be in-
creased from $8.00 to $9.00 per day; effective as of Jan. 25, 19519
and
Be It Further Resolved: % That the additional funds be transferred
Crom the surplus fund to- the general fund.

Resolved: That Therese A. Lindsay be and hereby is appointed a full
time Senior Typist, effective as of Jan. 25, .1951, and
Be It Further Resolved: That the compensation for such position- be
fixed at $2,000. per year.
Be It Further Resolved: That the additional funds be transferred
: from the surplus fund to 'the general fund.
Unanimously. adopted.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That on the recommendation of the Superintendent of High-
ways, the salaries of the employees of the Highway Department be in-
r creased ten cents per hour, effective as of ran. 25, 1951.
Unanimously -adopted.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark;
Resolved: That on the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways
the salary° of Marion S. Arnold, Jr. Clerk be and hereby is increased
�..,� one hundred dollars per year, as of Jan. 25, 1951.
Unanimously adopted.
