y Meeting of .May 6', 1947
The %Southold Town Board met at the office Of Supervisor Se Went-
worth at Greenport on Tuesday, May 6, 1947. The Meeting 'was
called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following
present:
Supervisor Horton; Justices Terry; Hawkins, ; Klipp and Tuthill;
Town Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorgey, Terry and
Town Clerk Booth.,
,-:The Board..sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims
against the Town concluding . the audit -at 2:00 P.M.
The minutes of .the previous meeting were read and duly approved, .

Moved by'.Justice Tuthill, seconded by Justice Hawkins:
_-' Resolved: That William Granger of Mattituck who' has been acting as
a temporary Constable for 'the Town of Southold, be and hereby is
appointed a permanent Constable.
Unanimously adopted.
Moved by Justice Hawkins; seconded by Justice Klipp:
Resolved: That General Bills in the amount of $2,153.95 be and
_. � the same are hereby ordered paid.
Unanimously adopted.

Resolved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held
At the Supervisor' s Office , on Friday, May 23, 1947, at, 1:3O P.M.
'�.., .,Unanimously adopted.
At 2:30 P.M. the Board went to view the railroad spur on the
.a property of Albert A. Olson. Herequested permission of the Town
Board to extend this -spur across Seventh Street, which connects
with his other property. The Board also inspected the steps at
the head of Sound View Rd. at Greenport, and the steps at the
head of Rocky Point Road at Wast Marion. The sound beach at East
Mahon on the property of George M. Tisdale.
'A Public Hearing will be held at the office of� the Supervisor at
Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday May 23, 1947 at 2:00 P.M. to consider
the =recommendation of the' Auperinter�dent of Highways for the pur-
. :cha�se of machinery arid. equipment in excess of $500. in accordance
_may with-.,. Chapter 142 of the Highway Law.
