Meeting of. February 7, 1947
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor S.
Wentworth Horton at Greenport on Friday, February 71 1947,
The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following
present: upervisor Horton, Justices Terry, Hawkins and -Klipp;
Town Superintendent of Highways, Price; Town Attorney, Terry and ,.
Town Clerk, Booth.
Mr. Bernard Kaplan, , Secretary of Dawn Estates, Inc. , appeared
before the board presenting a map of Capt. Kid Estates for sub-
division purposes.
Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Klipp:
Resolved: That the Town Board approve in accordance with See.
335 of the Real Property Law, the map presented by Bernard Kap-
lan for -sub-division purposes known as Capt. Kid Estates at
Mattituck Inlet, Mattituck, N.Y. , owned and, developed by
Dawn Estates, Inc. .
Unanimously adopted.
Mr._ Floyd King and Mr. Elbert Luce of Orient, appeared before
the Board requesting the Board to pass an ordinance governing
traffic and parking on Main Street in the Village 'of Orient..,
N. Y. The Board agreed to propose such an ordinance. �_-
The Board then sat as a committee on audit to examine claims
against the Town.
Moved by Justice Hawkins; seconded by Justice Klipp:
Resolved: That General ,Bills in the amount of $8 261.91;
non-reimbursable welfare bills in the amount of $38.46 be and
the same are hereby ordered paid. f-
'Unanirimously adopted.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved
as read.

Resolved: That Ahtone Chi.tuk, Town Constable be granted an
extension of leave. of absence from Feb. 7, 1947 to May 1, 1947. '

A Letter was read from H.E. Campbell, proprietor of the Greer-
port Auto Sales, quoting the price of two Ford 'two-door° sedans
with equipment to be used by the Town Police for patrol duty.
Moved by Justice Klipp; seconded by Justice Hawkins.-
Resolved: That the Town Board hereby approves the purchase of
two Ford two-door sedans from the Greenport Auto Sales at a `
total price of $1495.39 each, with equipment as "stated in t
Mr. Campbell's letter, less excise tax on sirens and the two
cars? unless the tax has been previously deducted.

Resolved: That the lown Clerk be instructed to request the , .-
Long Island Lighting Company to install four (4) additional
lights in the Cutchogue Lighting District, at New.-Suffolk, said —
lights to be placed on poles #22, 24 and 28 on Grathwohl Road
and on pole -#3 on Oak Road.

A Public Hearing will be held at the SuPervisor' s office at Green-
port, N.Y. on March 7, 1947, at 2:00 P.M. to consider the recom-
mendation of the Superintendent of Highways for the purchase of
mach inert' and equipment in excess of
Chapter 142 of the Highway Law. $500. in ec�ordance with

Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of the Town.
Board be held on March 7, 1947, at 1:30 P.M.
