HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-12/03/1946 60 Meeting. of December 3 , 1946 The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor S. Went- worth Horton, at Greenport on. Tuesday, December 3, 1946. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present : Supervisor Horton; Justices Terry, Hawkins , Klipp and Tuthill; Town Superintendent of Highways Price ; Town At- torney Terry; and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the Town, concluding the audit at 2 P.M.. - ` The minutes of the previous meeting were read and' duly approv- ed as. read. Moved by Justice Terry, seconded by Justice Hawkins ; Resolved : That General Bills in the amount of $1,465.44, Re- imbursable Welfare Bills in the amount of $12.96 and Non-re- imbursable Welfare Bills in the amount of $27.66, be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Y Unanimously adopted. The bond for the Receiver of Taxes for $50,000. written by the American Surety Co. was presented to the Town Board. �_- Moved by Justice Klipp , seconded by Justice Tuthill; } Resolved: That the Town Board approves the bond of Harry E. .--- Mason, Receiver of Taxes, as written by the American Surety Co. as to its form, manner of execution and sufficiency of Unanimously adopted. o Moved by Justice Tuthill, seconded by Justice Terry; a_ Resolved : That Irving M. Rogers of East Marion, John C. Tuthill, Mattituck, Willard H. Howell of Peconic and Clarence `� > E. Edwards, Sr. of Fishers Island be and the same are hereby. appointed Dog Enumerators for the Town of Southold for the year, 1947. Unanimously adopted. Tuthill of Orient be and he is hereby appointed a Trustee of the Town of Southold o to fill out the unexpired term of .the late Frederick Tabor. Unanimously adopted. A public hearing will be held at the Supervisor 's office at r � Greenport ; N.Y. on Tuesday, December 31, 1946 , at 2 P.M. to T , ?_ consider the recommendation of the Superintendent of Highways for the purchase of machinery and equipment in excess of $500. in accordance with Chapter 142 of the Highway Law.
