Meeting of July 9, 1946

-" The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor S.
Wentworth Horton, at Greenport, on Tuesday, July 9, 1946. The
meeting idas .called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present :
Supervisor Horton; Justices ; Terry, Hawkins , and Klipp; Town Super-
intendent of Highways Price and Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims
L, against the Town, concluding the audit at 2 P.M.
The minutes -of the previous
p meeting were read and duly approved as read.
Moved by Justice Terry, seconded by Justice Hawkins ;
Resolved : That the salary of Frank S. Dawson,Attendance Officer of the
>� School Districts of the Town of Southold, be placed at $800: per annum,
effective as of Aug. 1, 1946.
Unanimously adopted.
Moved by Justice Hawkins , seconded by Justice Terry;
Resolved: That the Southold Town Board hereby recommends Frank S.
Dawson of New Suffolk, for reappointment as Attendance Supervisor
for the common schools of the Town of Southold for the year 1946-47,
at a salary of $800. per annum, he to pay his own travel expense.
-�- Said appointment subject to the approval of the District Superintendent
of Schools and that the Town Clerk be directed 'to notify the Superinten-
dent, Harry B. ward of the recommendation of this Board,
Unanimously adopted.
Moved by Justice Hawkins , seconded by Justice Terry;
Resolved: That the Town Board make its official visit to Fishers Island
on Wednesday August 14, 1946, leaving the railroad dock at Greenport
at 8:30 A.M. on Capt. Raynor 'lickham's boat. The meeting of the
- Board will be held at 1 :30 P.M.
Unanimously adopted.
A delegation of residents of Southold appeared before the Board com-
plaining about 'the nuisance caused by the barking of dogs in Dr.
Fischer's kennels.

Moved by Justice Terry, seconded by Justice Hawkins;
Resolved: That General Bills in the amount of 4$2,093.14, Reimbursable
�+ Welfere Bills in the amount of $114.31, Non-reimbursable Welfare Bills
in the amount of $85.68, be and the same is hereby ordered paid.
Unanimously adopted. .

Resolved : That the regular monthly audit meeting of the Town Bca-rd
be held on Tuesday, August 6, 1946, at 1 :30 P.M.
Unanimously adopted.
