MEETING OF AUGUST 12, 1952.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp
y� at Greenport' on Tuesday, August 12, 1952. The meeting was called to
order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp: Justices
Terry, Tuthill, Albertson and Clark; Town Superintendent of Highways
Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against
the Town, concluding the audit work at 2:15 P.M.
- Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
RESDLVED: That the minutes of the two previous meetings be and same
are hereby duly approved as read.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill,
Albertson and Clark.
Otto W. Van Tuyle appeared before the Board presenting a map of Bayside
� Terrace at Southold, for sub-division purposes.

� ,. RESOLVED: That pursuant to Section 335 of the Real Property Law, the
Town Board does hereby approve the map of Bayside Terrace , situated at
Southold, Town of 6outhold, N.Y. owned and developed by Eastern Suffolk
:n Realty Inc. for sub-division purposes

RESOLVED: That the Town Board make its official visit to Fishers Island
on Friday, August 22, 1952.

A petition was read representing property owners of Orient , requesting
the Town Board to change the name of Main Street to Village Lane.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
RESOLVED: Thht George E. Latham, Assessor for the Town of Southold in
that district , be requested to ascertain if the names on said petition
are property owners on Main Street and that there is over 50% of prop-
erty owners signatures on said petition.

RESOLVED: That Bond i1o. 496048 issued by the Glens Falls Indemnity
Company, in the sum cDf $1,000.00, on behalf of Theodore B. Howard, be

. and sufficiency of surety therein.

A communication was read from the Board of Trustees .of the Southold
Methodist Church expressing their appreciation for -the work being done
,Y. on the parking field.

by the Town Board and placed on file.

RESOLED: That General Bills in the sum of $4,012.31, Lighting Bills

The Supervisor appointed Justice Clark and Justice Albertson a
committee to meet with Edwin S . Conklin, Building Inspector for the
Town of Southold and Town Attorney R. G. Terry to meet with Stanley
Corwin, Esq. in reference to the Multiple Resident Law. '

CAPITAL NOTE RESOLUTION of August 12, 1952, of the Town of Southold ,
of Suffolk County, New York, in the AMOUNT OF $2 :200.00.
WHEREAS , the Town Board of the Tawn of 'outhold , New York, after due
public notice , by resolution duly adopted on July 29th, 1952, author-
ized the installation of a complete circulated hot water oil burning
heating system for the Town Clerk' s Building at Southold, in the Town
of Southold, New York at a cost not to exceed $2,200.00 and provided
that $2,200.00 of such cost was to be paid from the proceeds of oblig-
ations to be issued pursuant to the Local Finance Law, and
WHEREAS, a contract for the purchasing ,and installa3tion of such heat-
ing system has been entered into,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, this 12th day of August, 1952 by the
Town Board of the Town of "outhold , New York, as follows:
Section 1. That the specific object and purpose for which obligations
are to be issued pursuant to the provisions of this Resolution is to
finance the installation of a complete circulated hot water o3hl burning '
heating system for the Town Clerk's Building at Southold, in the Town
of Southold, New York; that the maximum cost of such installation ia.
$2200.00, and the financing of such cost isto be provided by the issu-
ance of a capital note in the amount of $2200.00 pursuant to this
Resolution; that the following determinations are hereby made:
(a� The period of probable usefulness of such equipment is
five years;
(b) The subdivision of paragraph a of Section 11.00 of the Local
Finance Law which is applicable in the circumstances is subdivision
"13" • and
c) The proposed maturity of the obligation authorized by this ' -
Resolution will not be in excess of one year.
Section 2. That, except as herein specifically prescribed, said note
shall be of the date, terms , formli contents and place of payment and
at a rate of interest not exceeding per aentum per annum,
as may be determined by the Town Supervisor, consistent, however, with
the provisions of the said Local Finance Law of the State of New York;
and shall be executed in the name of the said Town by its Supervisor
and the Seal of said Town shall be attached thereto.
Section 1. That said note shall be sold at private sale by the Town
Supervisor at a price of not lees than par value and 'accrued interest,
if any, and upon due execution and sale of said note the same shall be
delivered to the purchaser upon payment by him to the Town Supervisor
of the purchase price in cash; and the receipt of such Supervisor shall
be a full acquitance to such -purchaser who shall not be obliged to see
the application of the purchase money.
Section 4. The full faith and credit of the Town of Southold, 1�ew York,
are pledged to the punctual payment of

Section 5. This resolution 'shall take effect immediately.

This note may not be converted to registered form. This note is the
only note of an authorized issue in the amount of $2,200.00 for the
purpose of financing the cost of installation of a complete circulat-
ing hot grater oil burning heating system for the Town Clerk' s Building
' at Southold, in the Town of Southold ' Suffolk County, New York.
This note is issued pursuant to the pro-bisions of a resolution entitled
"Capital Mote Resolution" , duly adopted by the Town Board of such Town
of Southold, . on August 12, 1952; and the privilege is herein reserved
by the said Town of Southold to pre-pay the whole or any part of the
unpaid balance of the principal sum hereof at any time without penalty.
The faith and credit of such TOWN OF SOUTHOLD are hereby irrevocably
pledged for the punctual payment of the principal of and interedt on

all conditions , acts and things required by the Constitution and Statutes
of the State of New York to exist, to have happened and to have been
performed precedent to and in the issuance of this Note , exist, have

limit prescribed bytlhhe Constitution and Laws of such State.
