MEETING. OY'APRIL 8, 1952
'The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman
E. K1ipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, April. '8, 1952. The meeting
was called to order at 1:30 P. M. with the following present:,
SupervisorJUipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill- #lbertson and Clark;
Town SuperiiMent of Highways Price; Town Ittorney Terry and Town
Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on' Audit to examine claims
against the Town concluding the audit work at 2:30 P.M.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were duly approved
as read.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry:
RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held '
at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, on Tuesday, April 22,.
19.52, at 1:30 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill,

Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That the Town Offices be closed on Good Friday. the
matter of closing was left to the discretion of the head of each
department.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill,
Albertson and Clark.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry:
RESOLVED: That the Town Board will take over and maintain as a
public highway MARLENE LANE at Mattituck Town of Southold, New
' York, after the deeds for two (2) 25 foot drain areas have been
delivered to the Town Board, together with all necessary papers
as are required by the Highway Specifications of the Town of Southold.
Vote of Town Board: Ayres-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill,
Albertson and Clark.

RESOLVED: That the Police Report for the month of March be accepted
by the Town Board and placed on file.
Vote of the Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry,
. ' Tuthill, Albertson and Clark.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Terry:
� RESOLVED: That General Bills in the sum of $5,134.17, Lighting
District Bills in the sum of $1,32714, Fishers Island Ferry ,
-Xistrict Bills in the sum of $7,225:49 be and the same are hereby
fi ordered paid.-
Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill,
Albertson and Clark.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
WHEREAS, over two hundred persons have petitioned the Town Board
of the Town of Southold that steps be taken to remedy the dangerous
traffic conditions existing at the intersection of State Route 25,
`j Sound Avenue' and Love Lane at Mattituck, in the Town of Southold,
-> by the Installation of a suitable combination red, orange and green
stop, caution and go signals as upon a proper and competent survey
may seem advisable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of
Southold forward this petition to the Department of Public Works
with the recommendation that a compotent survey be made at the
earliest possible moment in order to properly determine the re-
quirements of such intersection.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Tuthill,
Albertson and Clark.
