Meeting of November .7, 1945 �-
The Southold Town Board ,'met at the office of Supervisor S.
Wentworth Horton, at Greenport, on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 1945. �
The meeting was called to order to 1:30 P.M. with the following
present : Supervisor Horton; Justices Terry, Hawkins and Case;
Town Superintendent of Highways Price;. Town. Attorney Terry and
Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims
against the Town concluding the audit at 2 .P.M. 4.
This Town Board has met at the time and place specified. in. ,~
the notice of public hearing on the preliminary. budget and as
'there were no interested persons having appeared before the
Board to speak either for or against any of the items in the
proposed budget , the hearing on the budget was formally closed
at 2 :10 P.M.
Moved by Justice Hawkins ; seconded by Justice Case : On roll
call unanimously adopted.
Resolved : That this Town Board does hereby adopt such pre—
liminavy budget as originally compiled, as the annual budget
of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the First day 7k
of J'anuary, 1946, and that such budget as so adopted be entered ,r
.in detail in the minutes of the proceedings of this Town Board
as Follows : .

in the General Election of November, 1945. The vote was as follows: r _
Yes- 437 ; No- 125 ; Blank- 969 ; . ,_
The proposition to appropriate $7500 annually for the fiscal years
1946 and 1947, for the support of public libraries in the Town of r,r
Southold was duly declared passed.
The: Board canvassed the ballot cast on the Incinerator Plant
. appropriation in the General Election •of November 1945. The
