The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M.. with the following present : Supervisor Horton; Justices Terry; Hawkins; Klipp and Case; Town Superintendent of H�.ghways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booths f' Minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approvedi .as read. Moved 'by Justice Klipp; seconded by Justice Hawkins : Resolved : That the following proposition be submitted at the next biennial election of the Town of Southold:- . •T Shall the Town Board of the Town 'of Southold be authorized, em- powered and directed to construct, operate and maintain a refuse dis- posal or incinerator plant on the site of the present town dump north of Cutchogue: and purchase , operate and maintain all necessary app- liances appurtenant thereto, for the disposition of gargage, ashes , rubbish and other waste matter within the Town. of Southold, except- ing the territory including the limits. of Fishers Island, for the benefit of the inhabitants of said territory, and `� Shall the sum of FIFTY THOUSAND ($50,000. ) Dollars , or so much thereof as may be necessary, be raised by a tax in installments over r�r a period of fifteen (15) years to be levied on the taxable property r- of Southold excluding Fishers Island for the p aying' of such con- struction pursuant to Section 83 of the Town Law and other laws ap- plicable thereto. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Case; seconded by Justice Terry : _ Resolved : That Harold D. Price as Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized and directed or to have prepared, upon the form prescribed by the Superintendent of Public Works of the State of New York a statement to be signed and verified by him claming such pay- ment , which statement shall include only expenditures for snow con- trol on public ways within the boundaries of Southold Town during the periods mentioned in subdivision (1) and (2 ) of Section 2 of such , Chapter. (Chap. 473 of the Laws of 1945) for the following items ex- ., clusively: (1 ) labor costs exclusive of the salaries or wages of persons regularly employed for municipal purposes , but payments for overtime work on snow control by such regularly employed persons ' may be "included; (2 ) rental of hired equipment other than new equip- ment rented from manufacturers or dealers ; (3 ) motor fuel and lubricating oils and greases ; (4) costs of erecting and dismantling I .A snow' fences ; and (5) sand and chloride. Unanimously adopted. .� Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Klipp : Resolved : That the Town Board authorize the Supervisor to appoint a committee to have the necessary repairs be made on the steps lead- ing to the Sound Beach at Hortons Point, Southold, Rocky Point, }i East Marion, Sound Road, Greenport. Also have the necessary repairs }� made on the Town owned buildings at the Town Beach. ' Unanimously adopted; �T Moved by Justice Case ; seconded by Justice K1ipp . Resolved : That Supervisor Horton be and is hereby given the power to renew the lease of the concession at the Town Beach to Jack Levin of Greenport at $150. per year for a period .of five- years beginning January 1, 1945. Unanimously adopted. �A Moved by Justice Case; seconded by Justice Klipp : Resolved : That Supervisor Horton be and is hereby authorized and directed to borrow the sum of $4, 500. upon the application of the 1 Mattituck Park District, and to issue Certificate of Indebtedness 1+ ' therefor, pending issuance of the bonds .
