Proposition
Shall the Commissioners of the Mattituck Park District be
authorized to purchase the following described lands within
the boundaries. of the Mattituck Park District
,a All that certain plot, piece or parcel of land situate,
lying and being at Mattituck, in the Town of Southold, County
-- of Suffolk and State of New York, and bounded and described
as follows : Beginning at a point where ordinary high .water
mark. of Mattituck Inlet intersects ordinary high water mark
of Long island Sound on the easterly shore of said Inlet and
running thence northeasterly along said ordinary high water
mark of Long island round about 2000 feet to the westerly.
-> line of the 'Town Highway; thence in a general southeasterly
direction along said -westerly line of said Highway about 1400
r� feet to lands now or formerly of Westphalia Corporation;
thence alons said lands now or formerly of Westphalia Cor-
Y poration, the following courses : South sixty seven (67 ) degrees
,Y twenty-eight (28 ) minutes twenty (20) seconds West fifty-five
(55) feet, more or less; thence South forty-eight (48) degrees
seven (07 ) minutes West eighty-four and forty-one hundredths
(84.41) feet ; thence South six (6 ) degrees fifty-one (51)

(67 ) degrees. twenty..-one (21 ) minutes twenty (20 ) seconds West

feet ; thence South fourteen (14) degrees fifty-two (52) minutes
fifty (50) seconds West one hundred (100) feet, more or less,
to ordinary high water mark of Mattituck Creek; thence in a
general southwesterly direction along said ordinary high water
mark of Mattituck Creek about 1000 feet; thence in a general
northwesterly direction along said line about 400 feet. to the
f�. point of bleginning. Containing about 30 acres. Together with
the riparian rights in Long Island Sound and Kattituck Creek
or Inlet adjacent to said premises. and the sum of $4500.00

taxpayers of the Mattituck Park District, eleation. inspectors and
ballot clerks, duly appointed to ..azt .as such at a special meeting
of the Mattituck Fire House , Mattituck, Suffolk County, New York, r?
on .April 28th, 1945 at 7 :00 P.M. Eastern War Time and John L. Was—
son Chairman of Park Commissioners of Mat,tituek Park District do
hereby certify as. follows :
1. That the proposition as stet forth on the annexed ballot
was submitted tothe resident taxpayers. .

2.. That the polls were opened at 7:00 P.M. and were closed
at 10:00 P.M. Eastern War Time.
3. That in all 59 votes were cast upon the proposition of
which 50 were in the affirmative 9 were in_ the negative and none -i
. were void.
