_ The Southold Town Board met at the office of S. Wentworth
Horton, at Greenport on Wednesday, March 7, 1945. The Meeting
was Galled to order at 1 :30 P.M. with the following present,
Supervisor Horton; Justices Hawkins , Klipp and Case; Town Sup—
erintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and down
�- Clerk Booth.
' The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims
�y against the Town, concluding the audit at 2 P.M.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved
-- as read.
The Supervisor read an application made by Lester & Toner, Inc.
j to the War Department for a permit to place piles in Greenport
,., Harbor, there was no sentiment expressed in the negative, so
Y it was laid on the table.
Moved by Justice Hawkins; seconded by Justice Case :
Resolved : That General Bills in the amount of $2,135,55; Reim—
bursable Welfare Bills in the amount of $21.35; Non-Reimbursable
' Welfare Bills in the amount of $146.26, . be and the same is hereby
ordered paid.
-� Unaminously adopted.
Matters of general Town business were discussed at considerable
length.
Moved by Justice Hawkins ; seconded by Justice Case :
Resolved : That the regular monthly meeting of the Town Board
be held on Wednesday, March 21, 1945 at 7 :30 P.M.
Unaminously adopted.
Adjournment was at 4:30 P.M.
