The annual meeting of the Southold Park District was held at the
office of the Southold Town Gler, in said Park District , on Tuesday --
Eizening, February 20, 1945.

The meeting was called to order at 8 :15 P.M. by the Town Clerk, who � -
read the call for . the meeting .and presented .affidavits to . show that
the meeting had been duly advertised -as requested by law.
Dr. S.B. Fisher was nominated and duly elected as Chairman; he ap-
pointed Ralph P. Booth as Clerk and Earl Hagerman and Max Newbold as
Tellers, The officers of the meeting were sworn in by George C. `ferry,

The Chairman asked for nominations for a commissioner for a term of �,
three years , in the place of Rensselaer G. 'Terry, whose term of
office then expired. mr. 'ferry was nominated to succeed himself,
the nomination was duly seconded and on an unaminious vote of the �
meeting, the nominations were closed and the Clerk was instructed
to cast one vote for Mr. Terry. The vote was duly cast , announced by V �
the tellers , and the ' Chairman declared Mr. Terry elected for a term
of three years.

The Chairman announced that the Commissioners were asking ,for an
appropriation of $2,500. for the maintenance of Park District
properties .
The meeting then voted on the appropriation, 6 votes being cast
all in the affirmative. The Chairman declared the appropriation
duly passed. � .
Motion moved, seconded .and carried, That the offer of George Smith
in the amount of $35.00, f or the escallop house owned by the Park
District be accepted. `
There was a lengthy discussion on the Youth Center movement occupying `-
Community Hall.
Adjournment was at 9:15
