HomeMy WebLinkAboutTR-12/03/1980 425 c: A- regular meeting: _of the Board of- Town .Trustees was-'-held at 7: 30 p.m. , Wednesday, December 3, 1980 at the Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York. Present were: : President Anna Hataier Vice-President Henry Smith Trustee Halsey Staples Trustee Frank Kujawski, Jr.. Trustee Paul Stoutenburgh- Ruth ,Oliva, North Fork Environmental Council Fred Pivko, North Fork Environmental Council . .c President Hataier made a motion, seconded by Trustee Smith and carried to. approve the minutes of: the meeting of November 6, 1980, and set the next meeting date for January 7, 1981. On motion made by Trustee Smith., seconded by Trustee Kujawski, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application of Norman C. Boos, to dredge and bulkhead v west side -of existing_ marina. -, Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Kujawski, Smith, Stoutenburgh Abstain: Staples Mr. Staples abstained because. he doesn't feel:- the matter is in a the jurisdiction of the Town Trustees. Mr. Boos nd his son-in-law attended the meeting. It was discussed and Mr. Boos understands that there is no work to be done on the south side and the work on the sido to,,."be done will on1yrg- to where it turns at the retaining wall on the end. c On motion made. by President Hataier, seconded. -by Trustee Smith, it was RESOLVED to approve the application of Michael F. Colavito for maintenance dredging of mouth of man-made canal at Corey Creek upon the discretion 'of.,the,.owner. ,not to damage more -than he. has to and with the condition that the spoil be placed on the upland or trucked away. c. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Kujawski, Smith, Staples Nay: Stoutenburgh . On motion made by President Hataier, seconded by Trustee : Kujawski, it was 426 RESOLVED to approve the application of Carol Galgano to construct catwalk, ramp and floating dock off private property ,/ at Mattituck Creek with the condition that the catwalk be kept in line with the existing -(c'atwalk 'and that It be '-kept above :the grass. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Kujawski, Smith, Staples, Stoutenburgh On motion made by Trustee Stoutenburgh,. -seconded by Trustee Staples, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board approval of the wetland application of Carol GaIkano to erect catwalk over wetlands at private property, of -the `applicant at Mattituck Creek with the condition that the. catwalk be kept' in. line with the existing catwalk and be kept above the grass. Vote of(-the( Board: Ayes:- Hataier, Kujawski, Smith, Staples, Stoutenburgh On motion made by Trustee Staples, seconded by President Hataier,, it was- RESOLVED to approve the applieation of Alexander Kaminski to place mooring off private property of the applicant at Goose Creek. c. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Hataier, Kujawski, Smith, Staples, Stoutenburgh c _ Motion was made by President Hataier,- seconded by' Trustee Smith and carried to approve the following renewals - for the'- month of January. Schaefer- i John B..-'-Tut-hill c Edward.'C., Thomsen Albert Walgo Edward Wisniewski, Jr. The Board of Town Trustees would like to discuss with the Town Board the matter of Gull Pond moorings from the bulkhead and will request a time during the work session of the meeting of December 16th. 427 The Trustees directed that. a letter be written .to Councilman JUenrV Drum chairman of the Inland Waterways committee requesting that th be consulted in regard to priority in dredging for the mouths of the creeks. The next meeting will commence at 6: 30 p.m. so that the Trustees can begin work on the informational booklet.
