In regard to the application of �Kathrime- :Farr to construct two bulk-
heads, two floating docks and to dredge in Sterling Creek, Greenport, it
was -the1.'4.- onsensus-,of the Board that this• area does not fall within the
Board of Trustees jurisdiction:
On motion made by Mr. Kujawski, seconded by Mr. Bednoski, it was
RESOLVED to recommend ,to the Southold Town Board to :approve ,the wetland
application, #88, of Kathrine Farr to construct- two bulkheads;' 'two
floating docks and-Ito dredge' in`Sterling Creek, Greenport'. _Vote of.
Board: Ayes : Messrs. Stoutenburgh, Kujawski, Smith, , .Bednoski, DVello.
A discussion was held on the :recent letter .referred to the _Town,'.Board
concerning Southold .Town residents being limited-•..to ,.100 '. ,Lam,-, I pe-r day.
The Board received opposition from the audience and discussed the'--many
telephone calls opposirig,:this '-proposal. The Board reiterated their
desire to regulate shell .fishing-- to taxpayers and residents of Southold
Town, thus eli-minatin,g -outsiders: from taking shellfish. One guest in o
the audience informed the Board of a man fromthe western part of Long
.Island. being pleased-, with-_taking' '1000 pounds°.of eels:. from .-Southald,..Town
Waters-r?: ,Th-e! Board .stated the-difficulty,-in restricting such .act.ivities
because .'of::the :jurisdiction it . falls under: .• A.-suggestion came .from,:the
audience to ,restrict the. method used. in obtaining. such ,fish, ,thus
'. eliminating power dredging.' Mr.- :Stoutenburgh polled• the ,Board-kregarding
the 100 a day limit. Messrs. Kujawski, Bednoski and DiVello agreed to
do away with --the, fixed: number of--100. � :Mr,..'. Smith remained -in,�.agreement
with =this limitation. .Mr: Stoutenburgh ::stated -that -the .Tru'stees.`will _
discuss-.*this-'.matterfurther and -someone from .the Board: will �.be present
:,.when-: it-comes before 'the Town ,Board 'meeting.
:The', attorney representing-Cheryl• Pagnozz informed ;the Board that :the
applicant will honor. the .request .to: remove, -the :pilings :by. May ,l, 1982
He stated that Miss Pagnozzi would like to build an additional- -dock on
her property, thus,,:k-eeping the old. 'dock,, railway and.. hoist. • The:.Board
informed the: attorney, 'that. they=:would, .riot aipprove= -four ,structures on
this property.- It was :the -concensus`. of the. Board that:,.'Mrs. Pagnozzi
remove- the •railway ,bof.ore ,proceeding, with an rapplication to cconstruct
an additional dock. They also requested that Miss Pagnozzi submit a
letter:.to. the` Board stat-ing!: her, reasons::for .thdi a-dditional-Zock...

The •Board discussed --the :-Ice Damage.: Permits which will enable applicants
to repair- -docks that have:�been damaged-.by ice-. -..'The :applicant .may obtain
said permit, fill-- it out acid, return :it, to,•-the -Clerk's office within •a
one day period. Any dock not having a registration number will be given
one for a fee of $5.00, thus giving a better inventory of existing docks
in Southold Town.•J:.,The "Board agreed that an :area- be,-designated on:-the
tear-sheet for the .applicant ,to .put his :regi:stration -number. :Such
permits will .be :free..of ..charge :and the applicant .must notify the DECK of
,their-- permit Ito rebuild. .-.The,.--Board-. suggested this --information :bey
published in the local papers.

Mr. Stoutenburgh informed the Board of his meeting with the President
