Box 728 Southold, New York 11971 MAY 22, 1985 SPECIAL MEETING 7: 30 P.M. A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, May 22, 1985 at the Town Hall, Main Road, Southold. The meeting was opened with President Henry P. Smith presiding at 7: 30 P.M. Present were: President Henry P. Smith Trustee John Bredemeyer Trustee John Bednoski Trustee Frank Kujawski Secretary Ilene Pfifferling Moved by Trustee Bredemeyer seconded by Trustee Kujawski it was RESOLVED to rescind resolution number 8 from the meeting held on May 1 , 1985 regarding Constantine P. Georgiopoulos. Vote of Board: Ayes: All This resolution was declared duly adopted. PUBLIC HEARINGS 7: 30 P.M. - In the matter of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Wetland Application submitted by the Land Use Company on behalf of Constantine P. Georgiopoulos. 7: 45 P.M. - In the matter of the application of Constantine P. Georgiopoulos for a Wetland Permit. Following the public hearings the Board proceeded with the resolutions to Declare Lead Agency on the Wetland Applicaitons. Moved by Trustee Bredemeyer seconded by Trustee Bednoski it was RESOLVED that the Town Trustees declare itself Lead Agency in regard to the State Environmental Quality Review Act for the following applications: 1. PAUL T. CANALIZO for a wetland permit, property located on the East Side of Meadow Lane, North of New Suffolk Avenue, Mattituck. 2. WILLIAM THOMPSON for a wetland permit, property located on South Drive, Mattituck. Board of Trustees Special Meeting - May 22, 1985 Page 2. 3. DR. MICHAEL LILLY SUBMITTED BY EN CONSULTANTS, INC. for a wetland permit, property located at 2095 Nassau Point Road, Southold. 4. JOHN VASSIL SUBMITTED BY EN-CONSULTANTS, INC. for a wetland permit, property located at 495 Salt Lake Lane/Rochelle Place, Mattituck. 5. JEAN HARFORD for a wetland permit, property located off Main Bayview Road, Southold. 6. LORRAINE FABRY for a wetland permit, property located at : 3700 Deephole Drive, Mattituck. 7. LONE STAR INDUSTRIES SUBMITTED BY JERRY WILLIAMS for a wetland permit, property located at Naugles Road, Mattituck. The above applications are mooed-.3vith-:the provision'atr.hat:.the field surveys.. be completed and that the Trustees entertain a waiver resolution for those parcels which are -fully within the intent and scope of the ordinance at the next regular meeting. Vote of Board: _ Ayes : All This resolution was declared duly adopted.. 8. WILLIAM R. HUMBURG 8. Moved by Trustee Smith seconded by Trustee Kujawski it was RESOLVED to APPROVE the mooring application for William R. Humbur to secure a permit for a mooring in Corey Creek, Southold. 8. Vote of Board: �- A es: All This resolution was declared duly adopted. The Board and Mr. Charles Bowman from the Land Use Company, discussed. the request made by Mr. Wappaus to construct a retaining wall on property located in Greenport. The Board advised Mr.. Bowman that a boat ramp would have to be included in the retaining wall so that there would be access to the water. A permit would have to be secured from the Trustees. The Board discussed the draft Houseboat Ordinance received from the Town of Brookhaven. It was the consensus of the Board to forward a letter to the Town Attorney requesting him to prepare a draft ordinance for the Trustees, ' regarding this matter. A discussion was held regarding a' .request for support of a conditional shellfishing permit. It was the consensus of the Board to send a letter to James Redman to give the Trustees help towards a conditional permit. 7?i Board of Trustees Special Meeting - May 22, 1985 Page 3. Moved by Trustee Bredemeyer seconded "by Trustee Kuj'awski it was RESOLVED to send a letter to James Redman,. N-.Y.S. D.E.C. requesting additional bacteriological testing in Arshamomaque Pond and Mattituck Inlet in an effort to get a conditional permit. Vote of Board: Ayes: All This resolution was declared duly adopted. The Board accepted the letter from Joyce Westerbeke advising that she no longer wishes to utilize mooring permit no. 1627 in Corey Creek, Southold. This location has been given out. :(see! -re.oalution�..no. . 8. ) A discussion was held regarding Wolf Pit Lake in Mattituck. The Board decided that an application should be submitted for review.
