FROM: John W. Davis Date: NTarch 14, 1985
RE: COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES, LOT NO. 32 (NOW i'n.INOR SUBDIVISION WITH LOTS # 1 and # 2)
ACCESS TO LOT NO. 1
CO'1 II'MN TS:
Inspection of the above access as follows:
The roadway is 442 ft.± in length and stops 75 ft. from the house attached garage.
'There is a stable (sand and gravel) area here in front of the garage.
The roadway width is 11 ft. instead of the recommended width of 14 ft.
No surface chips were used (not important).
The roadway is profiled at the entrance so that no runoff goes into Moorets Lane.
The present road as constructed has a smooth surface, no irregularities and is usable.
The graded area in front of the garage can be used for turning emergency vehicles.
This installation was done some time ago with no inspection on my part, as I was not
notified when the work would be started.
The following information from the lot owner, who I happened to meet on the site:
All topsoil was removed, sand and gravel brought in for the base course, and that
the road contractor had been paid for a 4" depth of asphalt paving. Also, that the
area in front of the garage would be paved with asphalt, and that he did not know
about the change in road width.
I contacted P. Corazzini on the asphalt tonnage placed. He said he used 87 tons
(was in his records) for a 2'p-11 depth on the bankrun course. Theoretical tonnage
for the width and length at in thickness for this road as built would be 75
tons. A 4" depth would require 153 tons. The owner was misinformed as to the 4"
depth of asphalt.
Provided the 11 ft. width is acceptable to the Superintendent of highways and the
Planning Board, I would approve the road work.
NOTE: I went over the above with Mr. Dean. He will accent the llft. road width.

In considering this appeal , the board determines , since the

with the zoning code and laws in effect .during 1957 , that : (a )
the relief requested is not substantial ; (b ) there will be no
