SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: Is there anyone on the Board, who would like to make some -- comments this -evening? - COUNCILWOMAN HUSSIE: I have a present for you all. If you recall some time ago, had asked the Planning staff. to come up with a table of use regulations, which in essence, extrapolated from the Code Book the various things that could be done in various different zones. It's been back and forth, and we finally have it, and I think that you all should be the first to receive the maiden copy, .so to speak. I understand that these have been in use, even though they're not official yet. I mean officially given to you, but they seem to be very helpful in the Building DepartMent, and' also, the Planning Board. By prior arrangement they will be available to the public for $1 .00 from the Town Clerk's Office. Am I correct, Judy? TOWN CLERK TERRY: If that's what you're going to charge, then I'll be selling them for a dollar, plus tax. I didn't know that you were going to charge. 12 FEBRUARY 8, 1994 SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: The purpose of these forms is to show in shorthand, the uses that are permitted, or that are permitted as a Special Exception under each zone in the town. I think that this is the kind of aid, that the Town should be preparing to make it easier for the community, for the residents of the town, to figure out with our various departments in the town. Joe? COUNCILMAN LIZEWSKI : I'd like to say, that I spent our first thirty days with my new Board, and that I had some reservations about how well this was going to go, and I think that the new Board has made some leaps today. We put together a Legislative Committee'. I was very upset for the first thirty days, and the fact that things were being brought before this Board, that basically were not being looked at in a legislative fashion, or with the Zoning Board, and the Planning Board, things like the Burger King change of code, and some of these things, b.ut today we put together a Personnel Committee, and a Legislative Committee. I think it's a big step forward in lessening the amount of time we'll spend at our main meetings, because I think these things will be hacked .out a little bit before they get to main meeting, and I think we're going to save some time, and get a lot more done. I think it was a good step. in the right direction, as we .get these standing committees in motion, and get them working. I'm very happy to say, that I think I'll enjoy working with Ruth on the Legislative Committee, and Alice on the Personnel Committee. SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: Thank you, Joe. It's a pleasure having you on the Board, too. Any other comments? Ruth? COUNCILWOMAN OLIVA: Just let me say, that anybody that's out, that's interested, we will be having the Code Review Committee meeting next Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. in the Conference Room. Everybody is welcome. SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: I would just like to comment very briefly, that there are two openings in the Land Preservation Committee, a committee of Town government, which reviews, and makes recommendations to the Town Board of possible acquisitions of open space in the town. The Town still has over a million dollars of funds left in that account, and we don't have to spend it right now, but there have to be quality people on that committee to make those important recommendations to the Town Board, as to which parcels we should be looking at, and which ones we might not. Louisa? JUSTICE EVANS: I should- take advantage of the air time, but I really don't have anything to say. SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: Joe? COUNCILMAN TOWNSEND: Before we close I'd like to take a moment to recognize that the Town has lost one of it's most distinquished residents, and former Planning Board Chairman, and I think that it's appropriate that we take a moment of silence, before we close, to recognize your father, John Wickham. Stand. One moment of silence, please. SUPERVISOR WICKHAM: Thank you, Joe. If that's all the business we have for tonight, do I hear a motion to adjourn? Moved by Councilwoman Oliva, seconded by Councilwoman Hussie, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board meeting .be and hereby is adjourned at 8:15 P.M. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Evans, Councilwoman Oliva, Councilman Townsend, Councilwoman Hussie, Councilman Lizewski, Supervisor Wickham. This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED.
