: SPECIAL. .MEETING OF ,DECEMBER , 2.7, 1.965--
We., ..the undersigned, ,being members .of the Town Board of the Town
of Southold, Suffolk County, New.Yor.k,. .do hereby severally waive
notice of the time, place, and purpose of the meeting of the Town
Board to be held at'.Greenport, in the Town of Southold,, New York,
on Monday, December 27, .1965, and do hereby consent that the same
be held on said date for) the transaction of any business which
may properly come before said meeting.

A qDecial meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the Super-
visor' s Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, the members
of the Board having waived notice of the time, place and purpose
of the meeting. Teh meeting was called to order by Supervisor Albert-
son at 8:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson;
Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill, Clark and
EdwardsJ8 Town Attorney Tasker; Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVED: That Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized
to purchase one police and highway band radio for the Supervisor's
car, and further
RESOLVED: That the sum for same not exceed $975.00.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Edwards.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albertson be and he hereby is authorized
to enter into a contract and purchase from Elizabeth Olsen one
building which was left on the property formerly purchased from
Elizabeth Olsen at New Suffolk, N.Y. , and be it further
RESOLVED: That the price of the building not exceed $500.00.'
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill,. Clark and Edwards.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
WHEREAS, the Town Bca rd held a public hearing on December 27, 1965
for the .purpose of considering a contract with the Village of Green-
port fnr fire protection to be furnished by said Village to the
East-West Greenport Fire Protection District at which time all in-
terested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board deems it in the public interest to enter
into a contract with said village,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOIV ED: That the Town of Southold enter
into a contract with the Village of Greenport for fire protection
to be furnished by said Village to the East-West Greenport Fire
Protection District in the Town of Southold for a term of five
years commencing on January 1, 1966, and that for such protection
the Village of Greenport receive the following sums annually, to wit:

1967--------- 8525.46
1968--------- 8885.46
1969--------- 9245.46
1970--------- 9605.46 and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Supervisor
be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute such contract
on behalf of the Town of Southold.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Edwards.

RESOLVED: That General. Bills in the amount- of $1325.00 be and they
are hereby ordered paid.
