The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M.
Albertson, at Greenport, New York, on Wednesday, November 3', 1965,- at '
3:00 P.M. with the follcawing present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen
Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney
Tasker;. Superintendent of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond.
The Hearing on the Preliminary Budget for the year 1966 was opened
by the Supervisor at 3:00 P.M. as advertised and the minutes were
taken by Barbara Dittmann.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
.RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of October 19, 1965 be and
.they are hereby duly approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the
office of . Supervisor Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenper t,.
New York, on Tuesday, November 9, 1965 at 3: 00 P.M.

Fishers Island Ferry District Commissioners in acquiring a Detroit
Marine propulsion engine, Model 17122-7201 in the amount of $13, 916
from Hubbs Engine Co. , Inc, Woburn, Massachusetts.

A letter was received from e State Traffic Commission restricting
parking 90 eet west of the lie on- Front Street, Greenport,
New York, `
A letter was received from Paul G: Edwards thanking the Board for
dredging in the Mattituck -Area.

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town' of outh old, N.Y. .has met at the
time and place specified in -the notice of public 'hearing on the
Preliminary Budget and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: ..That the .Town Board of the .Town of-
Southold does hereby adopt- such-'Preliminary Budget- as originally
compiled as the Annual..Budget of this Town ,for the fiscal year begin-
ning .the lst .day of January, 1966, and that such Budget as . so adopted
be' entered in detail in the minutes of the proceedings of this Board ,
and be it further '
RESOLVED: That the Town' Clerk of the Town of Southold shall prepare
and certify, in duplicate, copies 'of said annual Budget'-as adopted
by the Town Board of the Town of Southold, together with the- estimates,
if any, adopted pursuant to Section 202-A., subdivision 2, of the flown
Law, and deliver one copy thereof to the Supervisor of th is `Tcwn
to be presented by him to the .Board of Supervisors of the County of
Suffolk, dated Nov. 3, 1965 .

RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN BOARD APPROVING PRELIMINARY BUDGET
AND CALLING A PUBLIC .HEARING' THEREON `
RESOLVED: That this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve- as the
preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the
1st day of 'January, 1966, , the itemized statement of estimated revenues
and expenditures hereto attached and made . a patt of this resolution,
and be it further
RESOLVED: ,.That such ,preliminary budget shall be filed in .the office
of the- Town Clerk .where it shall be available for inspection by' any -
interested person at all reasonable hours, and be it further
RESOLVED: That this Board shall meet at. 3: 00. -P.M. on. the 3rd .day of
November 1965, for the purpose .of holding a ,public. hearing upon_ -such
preliminary budget, and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk give notice of. such hearing in the
manner provided in Section 113 of the Town Law, and that such -notice

UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET.
Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget. of the..Town of
Southold, Suffolk County, New York, for the fiscal year beginning
January 1st, 1966, has been compiled and filed in the -office of the
Town Clerk of Southold, New York, where- it is available for Inspection
by any interested person at all reasonable hours.
Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of
Southold will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a.
public hearing thereon .at the office of the Supervisor, .16 South
Street, Greenport, New York, _in. said Town, at 3: 00 P.M. on the 3rd
day of November, 1965, and that .at such hearing- any person may be
heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or
for or against any item or items therein contained.
AND- FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, Pursuant to Section 113 of the

RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN BOARD ADOPTING
ANNUAL BUDGET WITHOUT AMENDMENT
WHEREAS' the Town Board of the -Town of Southold, New York. has met
at the time and place specified in the notice of public hearing
on the preliminary budget, and heard all persons desiring to. be
heard thereon; now therefore be it
RESOLVED: -That the Town Board of. the. Town of Southold does hereby
adopt such preliminary budget as originally compiled, as the annual
budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on the 1st day ._ ..
of January, 1966, and that such budget as so adopted. be entered
'in detail- in the minutes of the proceedings of this Town Board.; '
