The Southold Towri . Board met. -at the office of the Supervisor, 'Lester
M. Albertson, at Greenport, New York, on October 1.9, 1965 with the
following..present: 's- ervisor Albertson;, Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark;- Town Attorney Tasker; Superin-
tendent of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond.

RESOLVED: That Mrs. Mary H. Chapman, Town Historian,_ Town of Southold,
be and `"she hereby is authorized to attend the'Americana -Forum at
Pennsbury Manor, Morrisvill, Pa. , and it is further
RESOLVED: ,.That all-actual and necessary expenses to travel, meals
and lodging incurred while attending said convention be a legal
charge against the Town.

RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of Southold be auth-
orized to purchase the following from Municipal Machinery Company:
One (1) new MB Model TM-10-16 Tilt type transport trailer, for a
cost of not. more than $980.00.

WHEREAS, 'a petition was received from Martin C. Nelson requesting

in said, petition from "A Residential and Agriculural' District'.to
"B=2" Business District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE- IT RESOLVED: 'That the Town Clerk 'of -the Town. of
Southold be and he hereby is :directed to ,transmit this application_
to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901,' 'Subdivision „C'
of Article IX'of the Building Zone Ordinance" of' the Town of Southold.

Worthington to 'locate 'a single -trailer on his- `property, ''Sound Aver,"
Mattituck, N.Y, be and the same hereby is granted for a six"month .period.

WHEREAS, Mr. William Schriever of .Orient, New 'York, has _offered'-a..car
to' the Tdwn .of Southold 'for use by -the Civil Defense, the Board advised
the Supervisor to accept the offer with thanks if 'it .seems advisable
'after acquiring more particulars. .
A letter was received from-Mr. VanTuyl'-thanking the Highway Depart
ment for their .fine work. on the street where he lives.
A letter was received from A.- John ,Gada concerning the* reznoV ' of
rocks from the channel "at-'Fishers Island, . New York.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk. of the Town of Southold be and he here-
by is directed to request--the,. Long Island Lighting Company to install
two 100 cp 'street' lights do Depot Lane, Cutchogue, New York; on
poles LILCO #67 .and .NYTCO,-,#71,. .both in the Cutchogue Light. District.

Letters were received from-the Cutchogue=New:_Suffolk .Historical
Council and- from' Mattituck 'Cutchogue, Southold, and Gr.eenport .Chambers
of Commerce 'requesting additional financial assistance and from
William Sterling, Southold 'b'qh' s -representative of 'the Fire Island
National Seashore Advisory Commission' out lin ng some of ht-eir -work _
and the progress to date.
