The meeting was called to order at 1: 00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson;.:.Councilmen Demarest and Valentine and Justice Tuthill. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill; RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby. ,is . . , authorized to advertise for bids. for one. front end loader for use at the Town disposal area. Greenport, , N.Y. applied to .the Town Clerk for a Bingo License, and .: , WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest- igation made findings -and determinations as required by law,. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to .execute on behalf of the Board. the findings and determinations required by law. and it is further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue .. a Bingo License to the Greenport Fire Department, Greenport, N.Y. The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lestet M. Albertson, at Greenport, N.Y. on July 27, 1965 with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill; RESOLVED: That the minutee of the meeting of July 13, 1965, be and they are hereby approved. Vote of Town oard: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held ,at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on August 10, 1965, at 3: 00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. 107 Moved by Councilman Valentine; -seconded by Justice Tuthill; WHEREAS,= the Mattituck Presbyterian Church, .Mattituck, N.Y. has request- ed permission to use Souncl-Avenue for recreation and activities on Saturday, August 7, 1965 from 6: 00 P.M. until .11: 00 P.M. , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Sound Avenue, Mattituck, N.Y. .be- tween Love Lane and Westphalia Road be closed. to the public traffic on the hours and date stated above. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark WHEREAS, Robert H. Preston and LaGrant Chapman have made application to the Town Board dated March 22, 1965 to .dedicate a certain highway at Greenport, N.Y. , Town of Southold, to be known as Robinson Road, being more fully described in said petition together with, releases executed by the owners thereof, and WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent has inspected said highway and has advised the Town Board that said proposed highway complies in all respects to the specifications for - the dedication of highways. in the Town of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with . Section .171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York consent be and the same is hereby given to the Superintendent of Highways to made an order laying out the aforesaid Highway to. consist of lands described in said applic- ation and shown on certain maps attached to said application and be it further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and direct- ed to forthwith cause the dedication and release.-to be, recorded in the office of the Clerk of :the County of Suffolk, New York. Vote of Town Board: . Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, Eastern Shores, Corp. , Joseph M. Schneider, President, has made written application to the Town Board dated .July 8, 1965 to dedic- ate certain highways at Greenport, New .York, Town of Southold., to .be known as SUTTON PLACE, McCANN LANE, SOUND DRIVE and TASKER LANE, . being more fully described in said petition together with releases executed by the owners thereof,, and WHEREAS, the highway superintendent has inspected said. highways and has advised the Town Board that said proposed highways comply in all respects to the specificiations -for the dedication of highways in the Town of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section 171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York consent be and the same is hereby given to the Superintendent of Highways to make an order laying out the aforesaid highways to consist of lands described in said application and shown on certain maps attached to said application and be it- further - RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he 'hereby is authorized and .direct- ed to forthwith cause the dedication and release to be recorded in the Clerk of =the County of Suffolk, New York.. Mullen, formerly known as Kathryn K. Clasing, has made-written application to the Town Board dated the 24th day of- May, 1965, - to dedicate a certain highway at Southold, New York, Town of Southold, to be known as JOCKEY CREEK DRIVE, being more fully described in said petition together with releases executed by the owner thereof, and WHEREAS, the Highway superintendent has inspected said highway and has advised the Town Board that said proposed highway comples in all respects to the specifications for the dedication of highways in the Town of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That in accordance with Section ' 171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York, . consent be and. the same is hereby given to the Superintendent of Highways to make an order laying out the aforesaid highway, to consist of lands described in said application and shown on certain maps .attached to, said applic- ation, and be it further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is. authorized and directed to forthwith cause the dedication and release to be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the County of Suffolk; New .York. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by_:Justice Clark; WHEREAS, Cutchogue Fire Department requests permission to use the.. parking .lot, which is under lease to . the .Town '-of Southold and sit- uated across the street from the Cutchogue.:Fire Department, on August28, 1965,. RESOLVED: That the Cutchogue Fire Department be granted the use- of said parking lot on August 28, 1965 . Price, representing Rarus Inc. ,.. requesting a change of zone of certain property in Arsha- momoque, New York, described in said petition from "A1l Residential, and Agriculural District to "B-2" Business .District, ' NOW, . THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold be and he hereby is directed to :transmit the application to the Planning Board in accordance w.ith. Section 901, Subdivision C of Article IX of the Building Zone Ordinance ,of.the Town. o.f .Southold. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine;, Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice- Clark; seconded by Councilman .Valentine; WHEREAS, Vitalino Caroleo, applied to .the Town Board for'. a change of z one,, and WHEREAS, Vitalino Caroleo withdrew his application before it.had been advertised and with no expense to the Town., NOW, THEREFORE, .BE IT RESOLVED: That the fee received for said change of zone be returned to Mr. Car.oleo. Vote .'. of Town Board: A yes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. The following letters were received by the Supervisor: 1. From Greenport Fire Department thanking the Town Board for immediate action on their request ,.for a Bingo License. 2. From the Village of Greenport requesting the Town Board to consider a reduction in the amount of highway taxes to be paid by..the-Village of Greenport. 3 . From WHNC-TV advising the Town Board that Southold Town will be featured on TV in a special.:community .salute series sometime in August. Supervisor Albertson was authorized to..assist by providing such information and services„ as are necessary. 4. From Southold Yacht Club requesting a fence between the Town Beach and the. .Yacht Club property. Supervisor Albertson appointed Archibald Young,. of Southold, , N..Y. a member of,the Suffolk -County Landmarks Preservation Committee. , , .,Adjournment. Albert W. Richmond. , Town Clerk
