'Alberts on, . at Greenport, New York, on June 7, 1965 with the ' following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill. and Clark;- Town Attorney Tasker; Town Clerk Richmond; and the following were absent: Councilman Valentine; Justice Edwards. Moved by Justice 'Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: .That the' - minutes of the meeting of. May 18, 1965 be' and they are hereby approved. • Vote of Town. Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of .the Town Board will be held at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on Friday, June 25, 1965 at 3: 00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor 'Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, Marian Council #3852, Knights of Columbus, Cutchogue, N.Y. applied. to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest- igation duly made findings and determinations as required by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized. and directed to execute on beh:alf . of the Town Board the findings and determinations as required by law and it is further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue a Bingo License to the Marion Council#3852, Knights of Columbus, Cutchogue, N.Y. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $26,698.38; Lighting District Bills in the amount -of $3, 385 .38; Fishers Island Ferry Dib- trict Bills in -the amount of $9, 687.60 and Highway Bills in the amount of $31, 803 .92 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill; WHEREAS, Robert Waddington applied to the Town Board for a change of zone, and WHEREAS, Robert Waddington withdrew his application before it had been advertised and with no expense to the Town, N NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the fee received for said change of zone be returned to Mr. Waddington. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded 'by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the report of William Januick; Bay Constable, for the month of May 1965 be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That this Town Board accepts the Bond No. 431 BD 2809 in the amount of $3, 000.00 covering installation of reads in the subdivision known as Blue Horizon, said Bond being filed in the Town Clerk Office. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices `Tuthill and Clark. o _ , Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and recommendation upon the petitions of Anna Hansen on property in Mattituck, N.Y. and William Pollert on property in Greenport, N.Y. fora change of zone from "All -Residential and Agriultural District to :'B-2" Business District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by the Southold Town Board at the Supervisor 's Office, 16 South St.r', Greenport, N.Y. on Friday, July 9, 1965 at 7: 30 P.M. on the above mentioned petiitions and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and. directed to -cause a notice of' said hearing to be published in the Suffolk Weekly Times pursuant to the requirements of law. Kenniff, of Boatman' s Harbor; Cutchogue, N.Y. applied to the Town Board for financial assistance in dredging the entrance of Wickham' s Creek, a Town Waterway, Cutchogue, N.Y. NOW, THEREFORE, BE MT RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized to contribute half of the total cost up to but not to "exceed.'the sum of $475 .00 toward the cost of dredging the entrance "of Wickham' s Creek at "Fleets Neck, Cutchogue, N.Y. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Town- Board of the Town of Southold approves the action of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District on the re-appointment of Thomas A. Murphy to the position of Attendant at the New London Dock of the Ferry District for the summer of 1965 at the rate of $60.00 per week, payable monthly and effective May - 25, 1965. Moved by Justice Clark; -seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Town Board of" the Town of- Southold -approves the action of the Commissioners of -the Fishers `Isla nd' Ferry District on operating the Theatre again this year with the following positions and salaries:- Supervisor-Cashier- Edwin Hoening - $55.00 •per week Projectionist-Richard Baker - $8.50 per show Ernest Middleton - $8.50 per show Alternate Projectionist— J. B. Hartsfield $8.50 per show Ticket Taker - Edmund White - $5.00 per show, . subject appointments to be effective May .25, 1965 and- compensation to be on semi-monthly basis. Albertson be and he hereby is authorized to make application to °U.S. Corp. of Engineers for the necessary repairs to the timber piles structure at the entrance of Silver Eel Cove, Fishers Island, New York. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by-Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That Harlan Johns, Fishers Island, N.Y. be appointed .Special Bay- Constable to police town waterways at Fishers Island,with no compensation from the Town. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman-Demarest Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, residents of Kimogenor Point have requested the Town Board to regulate the speed of boats in .said creek,, -New Suffolk, N.Y. , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED.: That no person shall operate a boat in the channel at Kimogenor Point, New Suffolk, N.Y. at a speed greater than five •(5) miles an hour and be it further" RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be- and he hereby is authorized and directed to cause notice of such speed limit to be posted in approp- riate places in said creek channel. Albertson be authorized to have Otto VanTuyl & Son, Surveyors, make maps of our creeks for use by the Town Trusties and Planning Board. Albertson, be and he hereby is -authorized to hire Robert _Muir as supervising lifeguard for the - Town of Southold at a . salary of $50.00 per week beginning June 26, 1965 for a ten week period. District, One (1) 200 CP street light on Jennings Road and Hortons Lane, Southold, N.Y, on' LILCO pole #51,'Southold Light District, and One (1) 400 MV street light on Manor Hill, Route 25, Cutchogue, N.Y. on NYTCO pole #457, Cutchogue Light District. . . Town Board requesting NO FISH_ -ING signs be placed on. Town Beach in the bathing area, RESOLVED: That Supervisor '.Lester M. Albertson be - and he hereby is authorized and directed to place NO FISHING signs at the Town Beach., Southold, N.Y. in front of the bathing area.
