The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester

RESOLVED: That the minutes of April 27, 1965, be and they are hereby

WHEREAS, THE Town of Southold has heretofore applied to the New York
State Department of Commerce for Federal and State Aid. _in an urban
' planning- assistance project .under the,provisions of the ,Federal Housing
Act of 1954, ,as amended and Subdivision 27 of Section 100 of ,the
Commerce Law of the State of New York,and such . application is being
processed for approval and acceptance by..the Urban„renewal Adminis-
tration and the Commissioner of Commerce of the State of New, York, and
WHEREAS, . in order. to secure the benefits of said urban. planning
astistance program. it is necessary for._.the Town of Southold to contrib-
ute a sum not to exceed seventeen per centum (17/) of the total cost

and to enter into a Project. .Grant Agreement with the New York State
Department of .Commerce,_ now be .it
,RESOLVED: "That the- Town of Southold her appropriates..the sum of
. nine-.thousand .six hundred_ and..twenty eight and 00/100 Dollars
($9,628.00) , or as much thereof as may.:be. necessary to. contribute
a sum not to exceed seventeen per centum (17/) of the total cost
of said Project ;..to be paid to the State .of .New .York, on ,condition
that the above .meniioned application. is approved. by-both the Urban
. Renewal Administration. and the Commissioner. of Commerce of the- State

agreement to keep same, in good working order', and =
WHEREAS, the -Supt.,',-of Highways has informed the Board that this
agreement has not been kept by the Village- of Greenport,
RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is
directed to write the .Greenport Village- authorities a letter to
this. effect.:

WHEREAS, Brushes .Creek PProperty Owners Association, Mattituck, U.Y.
applied to the Town Board for financial assistance in dredging. the
entrance of Brushes Creek, a town waterway in Mattituck, N.Y.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Supervisor. Lester M. Albertson
be and he hereby is authorized to contribute half of the total cost
up to but not to exceed the- sum of $475 .00 toward the cost .of dredg-
ing the entrance of Brushes Creek, Mattituck, New York. .

Town of Southold as` Police Patro3nen, for a period of one year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the salaries of Carlisle Cochran
and Stanley Droskoski .be and hereby are increased from $6100, to $6300.
per year, effective as of May 29, 1965.
