The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P�.M._'wiith the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Supt. of Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman .Valentine',- RESOLVED: That the minutes of March 9, 1965 be and hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson;' Councilmen Demarest .and Valentine;. Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the next regular meeting. ;of the Town. Board will be held at the office of the Supervisor, Lester. M, Albertson, 16 South Street; Greenport; New York, on Tuesday, April 6, 1965, at' 3: 00 P.M. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by CouncilmanelDemarest; WHEREAS, a law bid of $6619.00 received from Southold Dodge in' response to a request for bids for the purchase of. One new 1965 International Model _R 192 Dump truck (or equal) did not meet" the. specifications as advertised- 'by the ' Supt. of Highways of the Town of Southold, in that the motor was a high speed 8 cylinder heavy duty truck motor with less HP -And less cu. 'in; Disc. , did not have removable. sleeves and had a 13" clutch instead' of a 141, clutch as requested in the advertisement for bids .and therefor was not equal to the specificat- . ions as advertised, NOW, THEREFORE, ' BE IT RESOLVED.- That pursuant to Section 142 of the Highway Law the Town' Supt. of Highways is authorized to purchase from the'Tryac Truck _and Equipment Co.,::>,Inc. , Riverhead, . Tuthill, Mattituck, N.Y. to locate a single trailer on his own property, Elijah Lane, Mattituck, be and hereby is granted for occupancy for a period of six (6) months. At 3:30 P.M. in accordance with a notice published according. to law,. bids were opened for purchase of 75,000, gallons of 'special grade gasoline. The following bids were submitted: ' AGWAY - Bid is a discount of' .0705 'per ' gallon of the posted consumers Torch Wagon price.. The posted price, excluding state and federal taxes is .2l per gallon. Therefore, with the discount, this makes a delivered price today of .1395 per gallon. R. A. McCallum ---Mobil------ -1427. Agway-----=-----------Reg. $18.72 and Snow $19.64. The bids were held for further study. Mrs. Worth appeared before the Board requesting that the water on her property :be eliminated..
