The- Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester
M. Albertson,,, 16 ,South Street, Greenport, New York, with the follow-
ing present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and,Valentine;
Justices- Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Supt. of Highways
Dean and Town Clerk Richmond. ,
Moved by Councilman. Demarest.; seconded by Councilman Valentine; .
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town- Board will be held at
the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street,
Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, December__ 20, 1966 .at 3 :00 P.M.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request
the Long Island Lighting Company to make a survey for overhead lights
in the development known as EASTERN SHORES,, Greenport, New York.

Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

WHEREAS, Section 105 of the Town Law provides that Town officers and
employees who receive or disburse monies of the Town shall account to the
Town Board for all monies received and disbursed -by them on -or about
the 28th day of December, btt6not later than the 31st day of December
in each -year, and
WHEREAS,, the Town Board deems it necessary to engage a public accountant
to prepare the aforesaid annual account for all town officers and
employees,
NOW, -THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board engage the services
of Irving Miller, a public accountant, to make the annual audit of the
books, records, receipts and other documents of the town officers and
employees of the Town of Southold for the fiscal year 1966 ,at a salary
of `$350. 00.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is
authorized to sign the lease for the Parking Lot owned by. the Long Island
Railroad, Mattituck, New York.

RESOLVED: That Clarence Bennett of Mattituck, New York, and Frank
Pospisal of Southold, New York, be and they, are hereby appointed Dog
Enumerators for the Town of Southold for the year 1967.

RESOLVED: That this Town Board approves the action of the Fishers Island
Ferry District on the following resolutions :
RESOLUTION NO 1.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners sought quotation for the removal of
twenty-two (22) underwater stub pilings .located . at the New London Termin-
al of the' Fishers Island Ferry District on October 31, 1966,' and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on November 8, 1966 at 2 :00 P.M.
in the office of the Fishers Island Ferry District as follows :
Whaling City Dock and Dredge Corporation------$5925 .00
Elliott & Watrons Inc. , Mystic Conn.---------- 8250. 00
BE IT RESOLVED: That Whaling City Dock and Dredge Corporation of Buell
St. , Groton, Conn. be awarded this work in the amount of $5925..00

RESOLUTION NO. 2 :
WHEREAS, the life boats of the M/V Mystic Isle have been inspected
by the U.S . Coast .Guard and due to their age and the expense involved
in renovating same to Coast Guard standards, and
WHEREAS, U.S . Coast Guard has recommended replacing same with self
inflating rafts of a larger capacity, and -
WHEREAS, in accordance with these recommendations the Board of Comm-
issioners has sought quotations for two 25-man self inflating rafts
on November 23, 1966, and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on November 28, 1966 at- 2 :00 P.M. in the
office of the Ferry District as follows :
Revere Supply Company, 603-607 West 29th St. , New York per raft
$2252. 00 less 10/ on each raft
BE IT RESOLVED: That the Fishers .Island Ferry District accept this
quotation of the Revere Supply Company in the amount of $2252.00 each
less 10/ each raft and purchase two rafts as recommended by the U.S .
Coast Guard.

WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest-
igation duly made findings and determinations as required by `law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE]: That the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and directed .to execute on behalf of the Board the
findings and determinations required by law and it is further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue
an amended Bingo License to the Burton Potter post #185 American Legion
Greenport, New York.

WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after in-
vestigation duly made findings and determinations as required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby
is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Board the
findings and determinations required by law, and it ,is further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue
a Bingo License to the Southold American Legion G.T.G. Post,'#803,
Southold, New York.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of . Southold be and he hereby
is directed to request the Long Island Lighting Company to -place 175
MVOH street light on Main Road Route 25 .Pole #276, Peconic, 'N.Y. and
also to remove one (1) 100 cp street light on NYTCO pole #326 on the
corner of Main Road and Gillette Drive, East Marion, N.Y, and replace
it with 175 MV light..

A1letter was received from Constantine 'King stating that the skating
rink in Greenport is for sale and suggested it could be used fora
Town Hall.
