MEETING OF JULY 26, 1966
The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M.
Albertson, , 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on July 26, 1966. The
meeting was called to order at 3 :00 P.M.. with the following present:
Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices
Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Supt. of Highways Dean and
Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of July 12, 1966 be and they hereby are
approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; e Councilmen Demarst

and, Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That the next .meeting of the Town Board will be held at
the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street,
Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, August 9, 1966 at 3 :00 P.M..
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilman Demarest
and Councilman Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

WHEREAS,, Cutchogue Fire Department requests permission to use the park-
ing lot under lease- to the. Town of Southold and situated. across the
street from the Cutchogue Fire Department on August 27th, 1966,
RESOLVED: That the Cutchogue Fire Department be granted the use of said
parking .lot on August 27, 1966.

and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to. request
the -Long Island Lighting Company to install overhead 'street lights at
Gardiners Bay Estates, East Marion, N..Y. if approved by the. Town
Board .after _investigating the area.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby. is directed to request
the Long Island Lighting, Company to install one (1) 100 cp overhead
streetlight on NYTCO pole. #2, Wilmarth Avenue, Greenport, N.Y.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request
the Long Island Lighting Company to install one tl) 175 MVOH street
light on LILCO Pole #151 in front of the Church on Middle ' Road,'
Cutchogue, New York.

and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
WHEREAS, Boatman's Harbor. Association, Cutchogue, N.Y. applied to the
Town Board for financial assistance in dredging the entrance of .Wickham's
Creek, a Town waterway, Cutchogue, N.Y.
NOW, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, be and
he hereby is authorized to contribute half of the total cost up to but
not to exceed the sum of $475. 00 toward the cost of dredging the entrance
of Wickham' s Creek at Fleet' s Neck, Cutchogue, .N.Y.

and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request
the Long Island Lighting Company to install One (1) 175 MVOH street
light' on the corner of Little Neck Road and Eugene Road, Cutchoalue,
N.Y.on LILCO-. Pole -#7S and One (1) 175 MVOH street light on Main Road,
East of Bridge Lane, , on NYTCO-Pole #588.

and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

WHEREAS, Sam Brown has applied to the' Town Board for a single trailer
renewal permit dated July 12, 1966,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Sam Brown to
locate a single trailer on his property off Middle Road, Cutchogue,'
N.Y. be and the same is hereby granted for a six (6) month period.

and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
WHEREAS; Frank Kull has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer
renewal permit dated July 25, 1966,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; - That the 'application of Frank Kull
to locate a single trailer on his property, Indian Neck Road, Peconic,
New York, be and the same is hereby granted for occupancy for a six
(6) month period: `

Whereas, a petition was received from Harold Reese requesting a change
of zone of certain property in Arshamomaque, New York, described in
said petition from "A" Residential and Agriculural District to "B"
Business District,
NOW, - THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town Of-
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application
to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, Subdivision C
of Article IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Councilman, Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That Victor Przepiora, Orient, N'.Y, be and he hereby is
appointed attendant at the Public Beach, Orient, N.Y. at a salary
of $2.00 per hour on 'Saturdays and Sundays, he to serve at the pleas-
ure of the Town Board.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-6upervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine-; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Mr. Morrison appeared before the Town Board requesting the -dredging
of a bar between the present deep water and the proposed dredging in
Mattituck Creek.
Recess at 4 P:M, to reconvene at 7 :30 P.M. for Hearing.
