regret the resignation of Ralph P Cox. '

WHEREAS, Southold Planriing. Board has prepared an official report and
recommendation upon the petition of Race Point ' Corporation for a.,
change of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to
M-1 Multiple Residence District on certain property on Fishers Island,
New York,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by
the Southold Town Board at Fishers Island, in the Fishers Island Fire
House, on Friday, May 13, 1966 at 12: 3.0 P.M. on the above mentioned
petition and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and
directed to cause notice of said hearing to be published in the Long
Island Traveler pursuant to the requirements of law.

WHEREAS, a petition was received from Home Exchange -Inc. , 250 Fulton
St. , requestingg'a ,change of zone of certain property in Mattituck, N.Y.
described in said petition from "A" Residential and Agriculural District
to B-2 . Business District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk 'of the Town of
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to
the Planning Board in accordance,,.-with Section 901, Subdivision C of
Article IX of the Building Zone ordinance of the Town of Southold.

At 3.:00 P.M. in accordance with notice published according to law,
bids were opened for the operation of the concession stand and other
facilities .at the Southold Town Beach, located on Long Island Sound,
Arshamomaque, N.Y. in the Town of Southold. The following bid was
submitted: Mrs. L. Gooding---------$450.00
This bid was held for study.
At 3:30 P.M. in accordance with notice published according to law,
bids were opened for proposals to furnish and install approximately
1500 feet of fencing at. the Town Disposal. Area at Cutchogue, N.Y.
The following bids were received:
Art Fence Co. , Riverhead, N.Y. $ 2.60 per foot
Tyhrown Fence Corp. , Lindenhurst, N.Y. 3 .58 per foot
Anchor Post Products, Farmingdale, N.Y. 3 .54 per foot

the Greenport Light & Power Company to install two 100 MV overhead
street lights on Oak Street, Greenport, N.Y. on,.,poles # band #..2.

WHEREAS, W. Edgar Worthington has applied to the Town Board- for a
single trailer permit dated April 11, 1966,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of W. Edgar
Worthington to locate, a single trailer on his property, Sound Avenue,
Mattituck, New York, be and the same is granted for a six month period.

WHEREAS, Goose Bay Estates Civic Association applied to the Town Board
for financial assistance in dredging the entrance to Goose Creek, a
Town waterway in the Town of Southold,
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor, Lester M. Albert-
son, be and he hereby is authorized to contribute Town Funds in an
amount equal to one half of the total cost up to but not to exceed
the ,sum of $475.00 toward the cost of dredging the entrance to. Goose
Creek, Southold, N.Y. y

Center.reach, N.Y. in the::-sum of. $19, 000..00, and
WHEREAS, the said principals have made application.'to the. louthold. .
Town Planning Board, Southold, N.Y, for the approval of a plot known
as Cleaves Point Section .,III locatdd at Greenport, Suffolk County,
New York, and
WHEREAS, Southold Planning Board has granted--approval..of the afore-
said Plot subject to the filing of the -Bond,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:. That- the condition of this obligation
is such that if the said Principal shall during the period beginning
on ..the 22nd day of March.., 1966 and ending on the -22nd. day of March,
1968 well and.•truly keep and in every respect comply with and conform
to the provisions of the Town of ..Southold, Suffolk County, and in
all respects comply with the conditions and requirements of- the
Southold Town Plan-nng oar.d as set. forth. in the resolution dated
December 21, 1965 durin4 the period herein specified them this oblig-
ation to bevoid, otherwise, to remain in full force and effect,

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk ,of the Town of Southold be and hereby
is directed to request the Long Island Lighting Company to place a
100 cp street light on poles ## 2 and ## 4 (LILCO) , Fred Street, New
Suffolk, in the Cutchogue Light District, and on pole ## 1 (LILCO)
on George Road, New Suffolk, in the same district.

WHEREAS, the contingent fund in the Annual Budget for the current year
is $15:, 000.00, and
WHEREAS, of such sum appropriated $15,000.00 remains unexpended to
date,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 'RESOLVED: That $14, 000.00 of said unexpended
balance be and the same is .transferred to Public Works and that the
amount heretofore appropriated for said purpose be and the same here
by is increased in .the amount mentioned.

, WHEREAS, THE TERM OF OFFICE OF Robert Bergen, Mattituck, New York,
as a member of the. Board of Appeals of the Town of Southold expires
April 10, 1966, .and
WHEREAS, in the past, ,as..a member of the Board of Appeals, Robert
Bergen has rendered the:-Town._of Southold a most valuable' service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT =RESOLVED: That Robert Bergen be and.he:hereby
is appointed as a member .of the Southold Town Board-.of Appeals for
a term of five (5) years commencing April lU, 1966 and ending April
19, 1971. -

WHEREAS, the term' of office of Archibald Young of Southold, N.Y. as a
member of the Planning Board .of. the Town of Southold expires April
30, 1966, and
WHEREAS, in the past, as a member of the Planning Board, Archibald
Young has rendered the Town of Southold a most valuable service,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: . That Archibald Young be and he hereby
is appointed as a member of the Southold Town Planning Board for a
term of..five (5) years commencing April 30, 1966 and ending April
30, 1971.

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Southold has heretofore re-
ferred to the Southold Planning Board for its recommendation and report
on proposals to amend the Southold .Town Building Zone Ordinance by
amendments pursuant to the provisions of Article IX .of Section 900
of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town. of Southold, proposed
amendments being as follows:
T. By amending Article IV B of said Ordinance by adding a new section
thereto to be Section 442, to- read as follows:
SECTION 442 - Notwithstanding any other provisions of
this Article, a building or a combination of build-
ings containing retail stores, mercantile establish-
ments, offices, banks and financial institutions,
commonly known as shopping centers, may be erected or
altered in the "B-2" Business District, subject, how-
ever,, to the following requirements: .
1. The lot area shall be not less than one (1) acre.
2. At least twenty-five (25) per cent of the lot area shall
be landscaped with grass and plantings.
3 . The required front yards shall be not less than twenty-
five (25) feet except that where the property in the uicinity is
partly built up with permanent buildings and an average setback line
,has been established, no buildings shall project beyond the line of
the average setback so established.
4. The required side yards shall be not less than twenty-five
(25) feet.
5 . The required rear yard shall be not less than twenty-five
(25) feet.
6 . Parking shall be provided in offstreet paved parking areas
whidhltshall provide for one (1) parking space, three hundred thirty-
four (334) square feet in area, for each one hundred (100) square feet
of sales floor area or office floor area in each building.
7 . All rainfall and storm water accumulated on the the premises
shall be returned to the ground within the boundaries of the premises.
II. By amending Article VII, Section 703 .of said Ordinance to read
as follows:
SECTION 703 - No building shall be erected fir added to until
a permit therefor has been issued by the Building Inspector.
III. By amending Article X of said Ordinance by adding thereto a new
section to be Section 1008, to read as follows:
SECTION 1008 - Notwithstanding any other provisions of this
Ordinance, no multiple dwelling shall be erected, altered or
used which does not provide a lot area of at least twelve
thousand five hundred (12, 500) square feet for each family
or dwelling unit.

NOW, THEREFORE, ,BE IT.RESOLVED: That. a public hearing will be held by
the .Southold .Town ,Board ,at-_the..Supervisor ' s Office, 16 South Street,
Greenport, New York, on Friday, May 13, 1966 at 7: 30 P.M. on..the above
mentioned amendment.

A recess was called at 4:00 ,P.m. . to study the fence bids. Meeting was
resumed at 4:30 P.M.

WHEREAS, the. Board reported that the lowest bid for the fence for the.
Disposal Area was submitted.'.by the Chain Link Fence Co. , Smithtown,
New York,,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson .
be and he hereby is directed- to enter into a contract with the Chain
Link Fence 'Co. for the -purchase of approximately 1500 feet of. fencing
at $2.37 per. foot, all installed at the Disposal Area, Cutchogue,
New York, as per bid submitted.
