WHEREAS, the owners of said lands have agreed to sell the same to the

WHEREAS,Blount Marine corporation,, the. successful bidder and to•who*
the contract was awarded, has indicated that certain changes should
be made- in the plans. and specifications, as_.outlined in its letters,,
to the Board of Commissioners of ;the Fishers Island Ferry District,
dated February.:15th and, 24th, 1966, and, said, :changes have,been -approved

District--.at a meeting of.,the Commissioners held in January, 1966
adopted a resolution increasing the, salary of Wilfred C. Sinclair
manager of the Fishers Island Ferry District from $6560.00 per annum
to $7060.00 per, annum, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Special Act -of the Legislature creating said
District such action of the Board of Ferry District Commissioners
is. _subject ;to the, approval of the ;Town Board of the Town of Southold,
and
WHEREAS,_ a copy_..of.said resolution has been submitted to the Board
for thepurpose of approving the action of the Ferry 'District Commiss-

RESOLVED, as follows:
Section 1. < A---bond anticipation note of this -Town, ;in the
principal amount of $165, 000 is hereby authorized to be issued pur-
suant to the provisions of "the Local Finance L'aiw, constituting- Chap- -
ter 33-a of the Consolidated Laws of the State of New York, for -the
specific obi ecfi`or purpose,Ias more full described by- the resolution
entitled:-
"Bond-Resolution of the Town -of South old, New York,
adopted November 23, 1965,4appropriating $165, 000 °-for
acquisition' of -an additional ferry boat, for Fishers
Island- Ferry. District,- -in--said- Town, at an estimated'
maximum cost of -$165, 000 and authorizing the issuance
of $165,000 serial bonds of said Town to---finance the'
