Albertson, at 1.6 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on September 12 , 1967 , with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Superintendent of Highways . Dean; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Valentine; RESOLVED: That the minutes of August 8, 1967 ,. and the Fishers Island meeting of August 22 , 1967 be and hereby, are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, September 26 , 1967 , at 3 :00 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. At 3 :00 P.M. in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids were opened for proposals to furnish to the Town of Southold one (1) new automatic tax extension computer. Only two bids were submitted as follows : ' National Cash Register Co. _ $17 , 280.00 Trade-in 380.00 Balance - $16, 900.00 Burroughs Corporation $17 , 800.00 Trade-in - 4, 100.00 Balance - $13, 700.00 Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Valentine; WHEREAS, the Town Board reported that the lowest bid on the new aut- omatic tax extension computer was submitted by the Burroughs Corporation, RESOLVED: That Lester M. Albertson, Supervisor, be and he hereby is directed to enter into a contract with Burroughs Corporation for the purchase of a new tax extension computer in accordance with bids submitted. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the reports of Supervisor Albertson Building Inspector, Police, Bay Constable and Town Clerk for the month of AuGust, 19C7 , be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That the Town Board approves the action of the Planning Board made at their regular meeting- of September ` 61 1967 , as follows : It was RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Planning Board approves the amendment to the Rules and Regulations for the Subdivision of Land, Town of Southold, and that the Southold Town Planning Board submit these Rules and Regulations' to the Southold Town Board for their approval, the Planning Board having held a hearing on these amendments with no objections to them. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board will accept a Bond of $7000.00 as recommended by the Southold Planning Board for the completion of roads and other improvements in the subdivision to be known as Peconic Homes Section II located at Peconic, Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, owned and developed by Henry J. Smith and Stella M. Smith. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen- Demarest and Valentine; Justices Tuthill and Clark. 413 Moved by Justice Clark; ,seconded by Councilman Valentine; WHEREAS, the Southold Town ' Police Benevolent Association, Inc. was incorporated on September, 6, 1966, and paragraph 3 of its Certificate of Incorporation prohibits said Southold Town Police Benevolent Assoc- iation, Inc. from acting as a collective bargaining agent for the mem- bers of the Police Department of the Town of Southold, and WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 14 of. the Civil Service Law as added by Chapter392, Laws of 1967 , said Southold Town Police Bene- volent Association, Inc. desires to act as an Employee Organization of the Southold Town Police Department and proposes to amend its Certificate of Incorporation so as to permit it to act as such Employee Organization, and has' applied to 'the Town Board of the Town of South- old to consent and approve the proposed amendment to the Certificate of Incorporation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. That the Town Board of the Town of Southold consents to the amend- ment of the Certificate. of Incorporation of the Southold Town Police Benevolent Association, Inc. ' and to the filing of an amendatory cert- icate according to law deleting and striking out paragraph 3 of the Certificate of Incorporation of said Southold Town Police Benevolent Association, Inc.- and substituting therefor a new paragraph 3 to read as follows : " 3. An additional purpose for which said corporation is formed is as follows : To improve the terms and conditions of employment of the members of the Southold Town Police Department; to represent the aforeLZent- ioned employees in:.,bargaining and negotiating collectively with their employer (or employers) in the determination of their terms and con- ditions of employment and the administration of grievances arising thereunder; and to enter into written agreements in their behalf in relation to the foregoing matters . However, it is specifically and unequivocally understood that at no time and under no circumstances wig.(.'. the corporation or its mem- bers assert the rightta strike; engage in, cause, assist, participate, instigate, encourage or condone a strike, or a concerted stoppage of work or a slowdown.." 2 . That the TowH Board of the Town of Southold waives any further notice in connection with the foregoing, and consents to the -'approval of the foregoing by the Board of Standards and Appeals, New York State Department of Labor. Post #803, Southold, N.Y. applied to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after invest- igation duly made findings and determinations as required by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Town Board the findings and determinations as required -by law, and it is- further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue a Bingo License to the Southold American Legion4' G.T.G.
