The. Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M'
Albertson,, at 16 South Street-,. .Greenport, New York, on July 30, 1968, with
the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and,
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter; Town Attorney Tasker; Superintend-
ent of Highways Dean and- Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine,
RESOLVED: That the minutes of July 16, 1968 be and they are hereby approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Justice Clark;
RESOLVED: That the Town Board make its official visit to Fishers Island
, N.Y. on Tuesday, August 20, 1968, The meeting will be called to order at
1:00 P.M. in the Fishers Island School House. Supervisor Albertson is
hereby authorized to provide transportation and the boat will leave
Sterling Harbor Marina, Greenport, N.Y. at 9 :00 A.M.

RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held-at ,the
office of the Supervisor, Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport,
N.Y, on Tuesday, August 13', 1968, at 3 :00 P.M.

Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter. .

,WHEREAS, Cutchogue Fire Department requests permission to use the parking
lot under lease to the Town of Southold and situated across the street
from the Cutchogue Fire House on the following dates : August 3 and August
24, 1968,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 'IT RESOLVED: That the Cutchogue Fire Department be
granted the use of said, parking lot on August 3 and 24, 1968, as requested.

Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby- is author-
ized to contact the State Traffic Commission and request a 30 MPH limit
on Sigsbee" Road, Mattituck, N.Y.

Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
Moved by- Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Suter;
RESOLVED: That-the Southold ,Town Board accept a Bond of $47; 000 as rec-
ommended by the Southold Planning Board for the completion of roads in
the subdivision known as "Yennecott Park", Southold, N.Y, developed by
Donald and Lorna Tuthill. ,

WHEREAS, Franklin R. Saunders has applied to the Town Board for a
single trailer renewal permit dated July .23, 1968,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Franklin R.
Saunders to locate a single trailer on the property of Sophie T.
Saunders, Main Road, Laurel, N.Y, be and the same is granted for a ,period
of six (6) months.

and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

WHEREAS, Isadore Krupski has applied to the. Town Board for a single
trailer renewal permit dated July 23, 19681,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Isadore Krupski
to locate a single trailer ,on his property at Peconic, N.Y, be and
hereby is granted for a six (6) month period.

WHEREAS,_ Helen D. -Horne- has applied to the Town Board for .a single trailer
permit on South Harbor Road, Southold, N.Y. dated July 3, 1968,,
NOW, THE-2EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Helen D. Horne
for a single trailer permit be and the same is hereby denied. .

RESOLVED: That Ethel Palantonio be and hereby is appointed clerk to the
Supervisor at a salary of $4000. 00 effective as of .July .19, 1968; that
Julia King be and hereby is appointed clerk to the Board of 'Assessors
at a salary of $4000.00 effective as of July 19, 1968 and that Elizabeth
Neville be and hereby is appointed clerk typist to the Building Inspector,
Planning Board and Board of Appeals,, salary $4000.. 00, effective. August.. l,
1968, each to serve' at the pleasure of the Town Board unless other-
wise provided for by law.

RESOLVED: That H. Kent Rennell, Peconic, N.Y, and John M. Bredemeyer, 0
Orient, N.Y, be and they are appointed enforcement officers to serve
summonses , for.. the Justice Courts, Town of Southold, N.Y. effective date
of appointment to be when $1000. 00 Bond, is accepted by the Town Board. .

Lloyd Case, Fire Coordinator, County of Suffolk, has appointed Edward
Lademann, Jr. Southold, N.Y. deputy Fire Coordinator -as of July .17., 1968,
as recommended by the Southold Town Fire Chief. Council.

WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and
recommendation upon the petition of Russell, ,Tabor and Sons for a change
of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District, to "B" and "B-2." P
Business District on certain property in Orient, . N.Y. ;.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by
the Southold Town Board at the Supervisor ' s Office, 16: South Street,
Greenpor t, N.Y. on Thursday., August. 22, 1968, at 7 :30 P.M.. on. the. above.
mentioned petition and that: the Town Clerk be and he. hereby is authorized
and directed to.cause notice of said hearing to be published in. the
Mattituck"W�ttchman-Long Island Traveler, pursuant to the requirements of
law.

RESOLVED: That Raymond E. Dean, Superintendent of Highways; Town of
Southold, be and' he hereby is authorized to. attend American. Public . Wgrks
Association Convention on October 19-20-21722-23, 1968, . Municipal Audit-
orium, Miami, Florida; and
RESOLVED: That the necessary expenses incurred while attending said con-
vention be a legal charge against the , Town of Southold.

RESOLVED: That Howard M. Terry, Building Inspector, Town of Southold; be
and he hereby is authorized to attend State Building Officials Convention,
Albany, New York, , on October 10. and 11, 1968, and be it further

RESOLVED: That all. actual and necessary expenses to travel, meals
and lodging incurred while attending said convention be a' legal'
charge against the Town.

- RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request
the Long Island Lighting Company to install one (1) 175 'MVOH street
light on NYTC Pole#27 , on the corner of Terry Lane and Hobart Road,
Founders Landing, Southold, N.Y.

period..
