The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M.
Albertson, at Greenport, N.Y. on May 28, 1968, with the following present:
Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices Suter
and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Superintendent of Highways Dean and Town
Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Justice Clark;
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held at the
office of Supervisor Lester M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y.
on the llth day of June, 1968,' at 3: 00 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine ; Justice Clark and Suter.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of May 14, 1968 be and they hereby are approved.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; .Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Justice Clark;
RESOLVED: That bills for State Retirement System in the amount of $44, 044.
and $14, 394 be and the are hereby ordered paid.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter .
Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board will accept the Bond of $22, 000.00
as recommended by the Southold Town Planning Board for the completion of
the roads and water mains in the subdivision,�to be known as NUNNAKOMA
WATERS located in Southold, and owned by Henry Smith, Peconic, N.Y.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
Moved by Councilman Gaddis; seconded by Justice Suter;
RESOLVED: That Frances Gaddis be compensated at the rate of $2.00 per
hour to act as part time office clerk for Police Chief Cataldo.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine;
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request the
Long Island Lighting Company to install two 175 MVOH street lights on
Poles #@ and #3, both on Peconic Bay Blvd. , across from Veteran' s Park,
Mattituck, N.Y.

Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
Moved by Councilman Valentine; Secofidbd by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVED: That Supervisor Lester M. Albertson be and he hereby is auth-
orized to sign the agreement with the Village of Greenport for use of
the Town Dog Warden Truck and equipment, said agreement to be drawn by
Town Attorney Tasker .

Valentine; Justices Clark-and Suter.

WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning board has prepared an official report and
recommendation upon the petition of Henry Horton, Cutchogm , Helen Mokus,
and others, Southold, N.Y. and residents of Kenney' s Road Area, Southold,
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by the
Southold Town Board at the office of the Supervisor, 16 South Street,
Greenport, N.Y. on Friday, June 21, 1968, at 7: 30 P.M. on the above
mentioned petitions and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is uathorized
and directdd to cause notice of said hearing to be published in the Long
Island Traveler-Mattituck Watchman pursuant to the requirements of law.

Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Suter;
WHEREAS,. Mabel Miles has. applied to the Town Board for a single trailer
renewal permit dated May 28, 19680
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Mabel Miles
to locate a single trailer on hereproperty, Private Road, Mattituck,
N.Y. be and hereby is granted for a six month period.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Councilman Demarest;
RESOLVED: That Frederick Fiedler, Southold, N.Y. be and he hereby is
appointed provisional Police Patrolman of the Town of Southold, to
serve at the pleasure of the Town Board, unless otherwise provided
for, and be it further
RESOLVED: That the. compensation for this position be fixed at $5800.00
per year, payable beweekly, said appointment to be effective. when
recruit school session starts.

Valentine; Justice Clark. Noes: Justice Suter.
