WHEREAS, the said petition was referred to the Planning Board for it' s
official recommendation and report, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has filed it' s - official report with the
Town Board, and
WHEREAS, the -Town Board, pursuant to due notice thereof -held a 'hearing
thereon on the, 29th day of November, 1967 ,- at which time all interested
persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the relief demanded in said petition
of Benson Telsey be and the same is in all respects DENIED.

The Town Board commends Patrolman 'Edward Brush for his excellent police
work in arresting men who broke into Grabie ' s ApplianceAStore, Mattituck, NY

MEETING OF JANUARY 23, 1968. v
The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Lester M. '
Albertson, 16 ' outh Street-, Greenport, N.Y,. on January 23, 1968. The
meeting was called to order at 3 :00 P.M. with the following -present:
Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine; Justices
Clark and -Suter; Town Attorney Tasker; Superintendent of -Highways
Dean and Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Suter;
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will beheld at the
office of the Supervisor, Lester -M. Albertson, 16 South Street, Greenport,
N.Y. on Tuesday, February 13, 1968, at- 3 :00 P.M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

RESOLVED: That Bond No. 73 'S-7377 'BC, issued by the Aetna Casualty' and
Surety Company in the name of W. Gordon Ahman, Commissioner of Fishers
Island Garbage and Refuse District, Town of Southold, in the -sum of $
$1000. 00 be and the same is hereby approved.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and- he hereby is directed to request
the Long Illand Lighting Company- to remove 100 cp street light and .
i install one (1) 400 MV street light on pole #398, Main Road, Southold,
across the street from the Southold Inn in the east end of the village.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Isadore Krup-
ski to locate single trailer on his property at Peconic, L.I. be and
hereby is granted for six months.

WHEREAS, Franklin R. Saunders has applied to the Town Board for a single
trailer renewal permit dated January 16; 1968,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the .app,lira-tion;,of. Franklin
Saunders to locate a single trailer on the property of Sophie 2.
Saunders, Main Road, Laurel, N.Y. be and the. same. is granted for a period
of six (6) months. .

WHEREAS, a petition was received from Thomas and Florence Jurzenia,
Silvermere Road, Greenport, N.Y. requesting a change of :zone of certain
property on Si.lvermere . Roade, Greenport, N.Y. described in said petition
from "A Residential and Agriculural District to "M" Multiple Residence
District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk ,of. the Town of Rokk
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to
the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, Subdivision C of
Article IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report
and recommendation upon the petition of Bernard Kaplan for a change of
zone from "A".. Residential and Agriculural District to "M" Multiple Res-
idence District, on certain property in , East Marion, N.Y.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by
the Southold Town Board at the office of the Supervisor, 16 South
Street, Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, February 13, 1968,, at 7 :30 P.M.
on the above mentioned petition and that the Town Clerk be and he
hereby is authorized and directed to cause a .notice ,of said ,hearing
to be published in the Long Island Traveler pursuant to the require-
ments of law.

RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request
the Greenport Light and Power Company to. remove the. 100 c.p. street
light and replace it with a400 M.V. street light on NYTCO -pole #955
across the street from the Greenport School..

and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.
The Southold Town Board wishes to congratulate Assessors Albert W.
Martocchia and Augustus:,Garelle on the completion and passing of an
eight weeks course on "Principals and Techniques of Residential
Appraising" sponsored by the Society of Real Estate Appraisers and held
at Hauppauge, L.I. ,N.Y. . The Board feels that the residents of. the
Town benefit a great, deal as a result -of the efforts of the Town
Assessors to improve their knowledge and understanding of residential
appraising.
