MEETING OF NOVEMBER 25, 1969.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor, Albert M.
Martocchia, 16' South Street, Greenport, New York, on Tuesday, November
25 1969 with the following present: MLI?etvisor Martocchia. Councilmen
Demarest and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter; Town Attorney Tasker;
Superintendent of Highways Dean and Town Clerk Richmond. Absent: Justice
E. Perry Edwards., Fishers ,Island.
Moved .by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine;.
RESOLVED: That the minutes of November 6, 1969, be and they hereby are
approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia;Councilmen
Demarest and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town .Board. will be held at the
office,-.of Supervisor Albert Martocchia, 16 - outh Street, Greenport,
New York, on Tuesday, December 9, 1969, at 3 :00 P.M. I -

and Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

RESOLVED: That Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of
$12, 711.,50 and General. Bills 'in the amountedf $1, 100.00 be and they
are hereby ordered paid.

Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albert Martocchia be and he hereby is auth-
orized . to sign ; the wages contract between- the C.S .E.A. and the Town of
Southold prepared by the Town Attorney and agreed "upon by _the the
C.S..E.A. and the Town-Soard.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albert_ Martocchia be and he "hereby is auth-
orized to sign the wage contract between the Police Benevolent Associa-
tion and the Town of Southold as 'prepared by the Town Attorney and
agreed. upon by the Police 'Benevolent Association and the Town Board.

WHEREAS, .The Fishers Island Ferry District advertised forbids for
30, 000- f t. of fir planking, and
WHEREAS, Miner, Alexander Lumber Co. , 150 Howard St. , New London, Conn.
was the lowest bidder at $8,040. 00; o
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the . outhold Town Board approves
the "action , of the Fishers Island Ferry District in the purchase of 30, 000
-ft. of fir planking at $8040.00.

taken -by condemnation_ by the County at : Cedar -"Beach, .Southold, . N.Y. for
a sum of $1,.00.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albert Martocchia be designated to represent
-the Town of Southold at the Annual meeting, of- the Association of Towns
of the State of New York_ to be held in New York City, N.Y.- on February
9, 10 and 11, 1970, and to cast the vote of the aforesaid Town pursuant
to Section 6 of Article III of the Constitution and by-laws of said
Association, and be it further
RESOLVED: That Justice Suter be designated as Alternate to cast the vote
of said Town at the Annual meeting in the absence of ,Supervisor Martocchia.

RESOLVED: That Supervsior Albert Martocchia be and he hereby is author
ized to purchase one 'Apeco copymaker for the Town Clerk Office, sum
not to exceed $637.40.

authorized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest '
responsible' bidder, One (1) used 1969 Chevrolet "10" Carryall, - DeLux'e,
or equal, the cost not to exceed $3400.00.

WHEREAS, a petition was received from Edward Speeches, Greenport, N.Y. .
requesting a change of zone of- certain property in Greenport, = said
petition for a change from "A" Residential and Agricultural District'
to -"B-2" Business District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town' Clerk of 'the Town of .
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to
the Planning Board in accordance with Section- 901, Subdivision C of
Article IX of- the Building Zone'- Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

of certain property in Laurel, N.Y. described in said' petition, 'from -
"A" Residential and Agricultural District to "B" Business District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of.
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit' th:is application- to
the Planning Board in accordance with Section'- 901, Subdivision C of
Article' IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

A group of" HOST" appeared before the Board to request more information
on Open Housing. Supervisor-Martocchia informed them that another
meeting would" no doubt be held on the subject.

RESOLVED: That a recess be called at this time to reconvene after: -
the Hearing in the evening.

The meeting reconvened at 9 :00 P.M. with Justice Clark- absent.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor -Martocchia be -and he hereby is authorized to
sign a contract with New .Suffolk Shipyard for dockage- of t4e_ Police
Boat -for the year 1970.

Moved by= Councilman Demarest; seconded-. by Justice .Suter;
WHEREAS, Section 105 of the Town Law provides , that Town Officers and
Employees who receive and disburse monies of the Town sh(ill account to the
Town Board for all monies received and disbursed by them on or about the
28th,day of December, but .not_later than the 31st day of December in.
each year, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board deems it necessary to engage a public accountant
to prepare the aforesaid annual account for all town officers and employees,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board engage ,the services of
