SPECIAL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 19, 1969
A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was called .by Supervisor .
Martocchia at the request of two Board members, Councilman Demarest
and Justice Suter, for Friday, September 19, 1969- at 3:30 P.M. , the
twonday notice having been sent according to law. The following
members were present: Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest and
Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter and Town Clerk Richmond..
Absent: Justice E. Perry Edwards.
Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice -Suter;
RESOLVED: That Robert C. Reeves, Orient, N.Y, be and he hereby is
appointed Police Watchman of the Town of Southold for a probationary
period of one year following the date the appointment becomes .dffective,
and be it further
RESOLVED: That the compensation ••during the probationary period be fixed
at $5500.00 per year, payable bi-weekly and that the appointment take
effect on September 27, 1969, and be it further
RESOLVED: That Robert C. Reeves will serve in the capacity of Police
Watchman of the Town of Southold at 'the pleasure of the Town Board,
unless otherwise provided fore--by law.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest
and Valentine; JusticeM;S.uter Nod:`;Jils•tice Clark.
Adjournment was at 4 :00 P.M. Albert W. Richmond, Town Clerk
