The Southold Town Board met at the. office of the Supervisor, Albert
Martocchia, Greenport, N.Y.1on Tuesday, June 24, 1969, with the follow-
ing present: Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Demarest and Valentine;
Justices Suter and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Supt. of Highways Dean;
and Town Clerk Richmond. Absent: Justice E. Perry Edwards.
Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark;
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Town Board will be held , at the
office of Supervisor Albert Martocchia, 16 south Street, Greenport, N.Y.
on Tuesday, July 15, 1969, at 3 :00 p.m.

RESOLUTION OF THE .TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, NEW YORK, ADOPTED
JUNE 24, 1969, AUTHORIZING THE REDEMPTION, IN PART'
OF A $17 , 500 BOND ANTICIPATION NOTE FOR LAND ACQUIS-
ITION-1968, TO THE EXTENT OF $3, 500,. AND APPROPIRIATING.
SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR.
RECITAL
WHEREAS., the Town of Southold (herein called "Town") in the County of
Suffolk, New York, has heretofore duly authorized, sold and issued its
$17, 500 Bond Anticipation Note For Land Acquisition-1968 and it is now
desirable to redeem said Note to the extent of $3, 500 from a source
other than the proceeds of the bonds in anticipation of which said Note
has been issued; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, IN. THE COUNTY OF
SUFFOLK, NEW YORK, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The $17, 500 Bond Anticipation Note For Land Acquisition=
1968 of the Town, hereinabove referred to in the .Recital of this resolution,
. . is hereby authorized to be redeemed on or before July 1, 1969, the extent.
of $3, 500 from funds o f the Town now available to said purpose, said
funds being a source other than the proceeds of the bonds in anticipation
of which said Note was issued, and the said amount .of $3 , 500 is hereby
appropriated therefor.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

BOND ANTICIPATION NOTE RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD,
NEW YORK, ADOPTED JUNE 24, 1969, AUTHORIZING THERENEWAL,
IN PART, OF THE $17,500 BOND ANTICIPATION NOTE FOR LAND
ACQUISITION_1968, BY THE ISSUANCE OF A NEW NOTE IN THE
PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $14, 000.
RECITAL
WHEREAS,, The Town of T3outhold, New York, (herein called "Town"') in
the County .of Suffolk, has heretofore duly authorized, sold and issued its
$17, 500 Bond Anticipation Note For Land Acquisition-1968, and has duly
authorized the redemption of the Note to the extent of $3 , 500 and it is
now .desirable and necessary to provide for the renewal, in part, of said
Note by the issuance of a new Note in the principal amount of $14, 000;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, IN THE COUNTY `OF SUFFOLK,
NEW YORK, AS FOIDLOWS :
Section 1. The $17 , 500 Bond Anticipation Note For Land Acquisition-1968
of the Town , dated July 2, 1968, maturing July 1, 1969, subject to prior
redemption, numbered 1, heretofore duly authorized, sold and issued pursu-
ant to the bond resolution duly adopted by the Town Bca rd do March 12; 1968,
is hereby authorized to be renewed, in part, by the issuance of a new
Note in the principal amount of $14, 000, said Note dated July 1, 1968, having

been heretofore duly authorized to be redeemed from a source other than
the proceeds 'of the bonds in anticipation of which said Note has been
issued, to the extent of $3, 500,' all as , herein above referred, to in the
Recital hereof, pursuant to the provisions of the Local Finance Law, con-
stituting 'Chapter 33-a of the Consolidated Laws of the State of New York
(herein called "Law") . The maturity of said renewal Note herein authorized
shall not be later than one year from its date, and said Note may be fur-
ther renewed pursuant to the provisions of the Law.
Section 2. The terms, form and details- of said renewal Note shall
be as follows : Amount and Title: $14, 000 Bond Anticipation Note
For Land Acquisition-1969
Dated: July 1, 1969
Matures : July 1, 1970, subject to prior redemption
No. R-1 Denomination: $14, 000
Interest Rate: 3-',/o per annum, payable at maturity
Place of payment of principal and interest:
Supervisor ' s Office, Greenpor t, New York
Form of Note: Substantially in accordance with form
prescribed by Schedule B, 2 of the Law.
Section 3. Said Note is hereby sold to the SECURITY NATIONAL BANK`
OF LONG ISLAND, Riverhead, New' York, at the purchase price 'of $14, 000 to
bear interest at the rate of three and one--half per centum (3',-/) per
annum, payable at maturity, and the Supervisor is hereb y authorized to
deliver said Note to said purchase upon receipt of the' purchase price,
plus accrued interest, if any, from the date of said Note to the date of
delivery.
Section 4. SAid Note shall contain the recital of validity pre-
scribed by Section 52. 00 of the Law and shall be a general obligation of
the Town, payable as ,to both principal and interest by a general tax upon
all the taxable real .property within the Town, without limitation of rate
or- amount. The faith and credit of the Town are hereby irrevocably pledged
to the punctual payment of the principal of and interest on said Note
and provision shall be made in the budget of the Town by appropriation
for the redemption of the Note to mature in such year and for the payment
of interest to be due in such year.
Section S. SAid Note shall be executed in the name of the Town by
its Supervisor and the corporate seal of said Town shall be affixed there-
to and attested by its Town Clerk.
Section 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Cutchogue-New Suffolk Park
District has duly petitioned this Town Board on May, 1969, pursuant to
Chapter.. 763 of the Laws of 1960, to call a public hearing on the question
of authorizing, on behalf of said District, the acquisition of certain
real property and the construction thereon of a building for 'use as a
comfort station and the acquisition of miscellaneous equipment -for use
in connection with a bathing beach including an aluminimmboat and a life
guard��,-Od
WHEREAS, this Town Board duly adopted a resolution on May 20, 1969, call-
ing a public hearing on the aforesaid acquisition and improvement to be
held at Cutchggue School West, Depot Lane, in Cutchogue, L.I.,N.Y. on
June 12 , 1969 at 7 :00 o 'clock P.M. , Eastern Daylight Time; and
WHEREAS, the notice of such hearing was duly published and posted in the
manner prescribed by law and proof of such publication and posting has
been presented to this Town Board; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was duly held at the time and place aforesaid at
which time all persons interested in the subject- matter thereof were duly
heard; and
WHEREAS, this Town Board has duly considered the evidence given at said
hearing; `
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: By the Town Board .of the Town of Southold,
Suffolk County, New York, as follows :
Section 1. It is hereby found and determined upon the evidence given
at the hearing prescribed in the Freambles hereof that it is in the public
interest to acquire the aforesaid real property for such District at an
estimated cost of $11, 000, and to improve and embellish the same by the
construction of a building for use as a comfort station in conjunction

with a bathing beach at an estimated cost of $11, 000, and to acquire mis-
cellaneous 'equipment for use in connection with such bathing beach includ-
ing an aluminum boat and ' life guard stand at an estimated expense of $1, 500.
Section 2. The power is hereby delegated to the Board of Commissioners
of said District to conduct all further proceedings in connection with the
aforesaid acquisition and construction as provided in and subject to the
limitations of Section 216 of the Town Law.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

RESOLVED: , That the Southold Town Board approves the action of the Fishers
Island Ferry District in the hiring of the following employees for the
summer operation of the Theatre:
Edwin Horning, Cashier-----------= ---$65.00 per week
Ernest Middleton, Recreation Leader----------------=--=--- 10.00 per show
J. B. Hartsfield 10. 00 "
Edmund White, Clerical Aid---------------------=--------== 6. 50 "
all effective as of June 22, 1969.

WHEREAS, Burton Potter Post #185 American Legion, Greenport, N.Y. applied
to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License Amendment, and
WHEREAS, the Town Bca d has examined the application and aftbr investigation
made findings and determinations as required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Supervi-Dr .,be .,and he hereby is
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the Town -Bard the findings
and determinations required by law and it is further ' .
RESOLVED: That the Town' Clerk be and he hereby is directed to issue an
amended Bingo License to the Burton Potter Post #185.; American Legion .,
Greenport, New York.

RESOLVED: That Supt. f Highways Dean be and he hereby is authorized to
advertise for bids and to sell old and surplus machinery. ,

WHEREAS, Sterling Cemetery Association of Manhasset Avenue, Town of
Southold, New York, has duly applied to this board for consent to take by
deed the hereinafter described land ,for cemetery purposed, and following
a full discussion of the matter,
RESOLVED: That consent be and it hereby is granted to the said Sterling
Cemetery Association to take by deed for cemetery_ pruposeps the following
lands and premises, to wit:-
ALL THAT certain piece or parcel of land situate in the, Town of Southold,
Suffolk County, New York, .bounded and described as follows :
BEGINNING at a point on the easterly line of land of the Sterling
Cemetery Association, 19 feet southerly along said line from the south-

RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board will accept a Bond of $14, 000 as
recommended by- the Southold Planning Board for the completion of roads,
curbing, drainage, etc. in the Subdivision known as "NORTHWOODS" EIS
Cox Lane, Cutchogue, N.Y. , owned and developed by Northville Construction
Corporation.

RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board will accept a Bond of $42, 000 as
recommended by the 'Southold Planning Board for the completion. of roads,
curbing, drainage, etc. in the subdivision known as "HARVEST HOMES ESTATES"
Section 1, Southold, New York, owned by Mary J. Grigonis.

RESOLVED: That the Bond of Frank S. Zaleski of $30, 000, Deep Hole Creek
Estates, Mattituck, :N.Y. be and hereby is .released on con4ition that ,the
mud from the water basins be removed and all work is approved by the
Superintendent of Highways prior to release.

WHEREAS, a petition was received from- Stephen Doroski, Southold, N.Y.
requesting a change of zone of certain property, Middle Road, Southold,
described . in said petition from "A" Res. &.Agric. District to "B" Business
District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold
be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to the Planning
Board in accordance with Section, 901, Subdivision c of Article. IX of the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

WHEREAS, Franklin R. Saunders has applied to the Town Board for a single
trailer renewal permit dated July 28, 1969,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Franklin R. Saunders
to locate a single trailer on the property of: Sophie T. Saunders, Main
Road, Laurel, N.Y. be and the same is hereby granted for a period of six

WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and
recommendation upon the Town Board's own motion for a change of zone from
"B" Business District to "A" Residential and Agricultural District on
certain property south side of Main Road, East of Beixedon, Southold, N.Y. ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by
the Southold Town Board at the Supervisor' s Office, 16 South Street,
Greenpart, N.Y. on Tuesday, July 15, 1969 at 7 :30 P.M. on the above
mentioned petition and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized
and directed to cause notice of said hearing to be published in the Suffolk
Weekly Times pursuant to the requirements of law.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by
the Southold Town Board at the Supervisor' s Office, 16 south Street, '
Greenport,- N.Y. on- Tuesday, July 15 , 1969 at 7 :30 P.M. on the above
mentioned petition, and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is auth-
orized and directed to cause a notice of said hearing to .be published in
the Suffolk Weekly Times pursuant to the requirements of law. .

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town Hof
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application to .
the Planning .Board in accordance with S ction 901, Subdivision C of Article
IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

RESOLVED: That Howard M. Terrr and George Fisher, Building Inspectors,
Town of Southold, be and they hereby are authorized to .-attend Building.
Inspectors School starting September . 17, 1969 to go for one night a .
week for 14 weeks, said charge of $25.00 and necessary expenses to travel
to be charged against the Town.

and Valentine; Justices Clark and ,Suter.
Mrs. Tuthill, Harry Molitob, Victor Ostiny, James Verity, C. Lukeman,
Mrs. E. Kent and others appeared before the Town Board protesting the
building of a boat ramp and parking lot at Gull Pond Area. A .petition was
presented to the Supervisor. Mr. Prellwitz and Mr. Trautman appeared
before the Board in relation to Open Housing in Southold Town.
