Said Note is hereby sold to the NORTH FORK BANK AND--TRUST COMPANY, Mattituck, New York, at the purchase price of $135 , 000, to bear interest at the rate of three and sixty hundredths per centum' (3.60/) per annum, payable at maturity, and the Supervisor is hereby authorized to deliver said Note to said purchaser upon receipt of the `purchase price, plus accrued interest, if any, from the. date of said Note to the date of delivery. Section 4. Said Note shall contain the recital of talidity prescribed by S. 52.00 of the Law and shall be a general obligation of the Town, payable as to both principal and interest by a' general tax upon all the taxable real property within the Town, without limitation of rate or amount. The faith and credit of the Town are hereby irrevocably pledged to the punctual payment of the principal of and interest on said Note and provision shall be made in the budget of the Town by appropri- ation for the redemption of the Note, to mature- in such year and for the payment of interest to be due in such year. Section' 5 . Said Note shall be executed in the name of the. Town by itssSupervisor and the corporate seal of said Town shall be affixed thereto and attested by its Town Clerk.. Section 6 . Absent: Councilman Demarest and Justice E. Perry Edwards. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That the minutes of March 11, 1969 and the Special Meeting of March 18, 1969, be and they hereby are approved. Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine, RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board accept a Bond of $26, 500 as rec- ommended by the Southold Town Planning Board for the completion of roads and other improvements in the subdivision known as "Jackson ' s Landing" Mattituck, New York, owned by John Hurley and others. Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine; WHEREAS, Fred Lawson applied to the Town Clerk for a single trailer re- newal permit dated March 10, 1969, NOW, THEREFORE` BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of Fred Lawson to locate a single trailer on the south side of Sound Avenue, Mattituck, N.Y, be and the same is hereby- granted for a six (6) month period. Moved by Justice Suter; seconded by Councilman Valentine; WHEREAS, George McCarthy has applied to the Town Clerk for a single trailer renewal. permit_ dated March 10, 1969, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of George McCarthy to locate a single trailer off Route 25 , Laurel, N.Y. be and the same is here- by granted for a period of six (6) months. Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Martocchia; Councilman Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter. Moved- by Justice Suter; seconded by Justice Clark; WHEREAS, W. Edgar Worthington has applied to the Town Board for a single trailer renewal permit dated March 10, 1969, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: -That the application of W. Edgar Worthington to locate a single trailer on his property on Sound Avenue, Mattituck, N.Y. be and the same is granted for a six (6) month period. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martochia; Councilman Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter. Moved by Justice Clark,; seconded by Justice Suter; RESOLVED: That the report of the Fishers Island Ferry District be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Suter; RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby 'is directed to request the Long Island. Lighting Company to remove 100 cp lights on Peconic Lane, Peconic, N.Y. by the Peconic School, poles #11 and 12 , and replace them with 175 MV lights. Also requested to place 175 MV light on the corner of Stillwater Avenue and Pequash Avenue, Cutchogue, N.Y. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Suter; RESOLVED: That a town owned Citizen Band Radio be installed in the Town Police Boat, the expense of installation of same to be charged against the Town. Moved by Councilman Valatine; seconded by Justice Suter; RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of - Southold be authorized to advertise for bids and to purchase from the lowest responsib�e bidder 2500 gallons, more or less as needed, of traffic Paint. Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by Justice Clark; RESOLVED: That Supervisot Martocchia be and hehereby is directed to write a letter to State Assemblyman Perry Duryea in opposition to An Act Senate #3149 Assembly #5093 in .relation to certain exception from tax on mortgages, now in the Legislature. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia; Councilman Valentine; Justices Clark and Suter. Letters were received from the following: 1. From MRs. Dietrich in relation to erosion of the beach on the sound. 2. a Letter of commendation to Thomas Byrnes and Adam Johnson, Dog Warden, in locating and returning a lost dog to it' s owner. A study is being made by the Town Board in relation to STOP signs in the Town of Southold. - The Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby gives formal expression of its loss in the death of William Unkelbach, Mattituck, N.Y. on March 23, 1969. When the Town Board adjourns this day, it does so out of respect to the memory of William Unkelbach, who has served the Town of Southold as a dedicated and conscientious member of the Planning Board, Town of Southold.
