MEETING OF NOVEMBER 10, 1970.
The Southold Town Board met-'at the office of Supervisor Albert _M.,'
Martocchia, 16 South Street, Greenport, N.Y. on November 10, 1970 at
3 :00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen
Valentine'- and'-.Rich; Justices''Demarest and Suter; Superintendent of
Highways Dean; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond.
Moved by Councilman .Valentine; seconded by Councilman Rich;
RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Southold Town Board will be. .
held at the office of Supervisor Albert Martocchia, 16 South Street.,
Greenport,. New York, on Tuesday, November 24, 1970 .at 3 :00 P_..M.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia.; Councilmen Valentine
and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.
Moved by Councilman Valentine; seconded by .Councilman Rich;
RESOLVED: That the minutes of November 5, 1970, be and they hereby,
are approved.

RESOLVED: That the reports of . the Fishers Island Ferry District and
the report of the Building Inspector for the month of October- 1970
be accepted .by the. Town Board and placed on file.

and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.

WHEREAS, Dri-Gen Realty Corp. , Inc. North Oakwood Road, Laurel, N.Y.
by petition verified the 24th day of .July, 1970., petitioned the Town
Board for a change of zone 'of ` certain property situated near the Vill-
age of Greenport, N.Y. described in said petition from "A" Residential
and Agricultural District to ."B-2" Business District, and
WHEREAS, the said petition was referred to the Southold Planning
Board for its official recommendation and report, and the Suffolk
County Planning Board and the 'Village of Greenport having been notified,
and
WHEREAS, the Town Board, pursuant to due notice thereof, .held a hear-
ing thereon on the 27th day of October, 1970, at which time all. -inter-
ested persons -were given an opportunity to be heard,
BNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Building Zone
Ordinance including the building Zone Maps, be amended from '�'A" Res-
idential and Agricultural District to "B-2" Business District on- the
following described property: `
ALL that certain tract or parcel bf land situated at south
side of Main Road, Greenport, in the Town of Southold,
County of Suffolk and State of New York, and more particular-
ly described as follows : '
BEGINNING at a stone monument set at the intersection of the
Southerly side of Main Road with thgfaesterly side of Ninth _
Street; running thence along the Westerly side of Ninth
Street south 12 degrees 12 minutes 10 seconds West 756. 57
' feet to a railroad rail monument set in the northerly
boundary of �land now 'or formerly of the Long Island"Rail
road Company; thence along said Northerly boundary of land
of the Long Island Railroad- Company South 74 degrees 10
minutes 40 seconds West 418. 70 feet to a stone monument set
in the -Southeasterly corner of land now or formally of
Cassidy; thence along the easterly boundary of said land of
Cassidy North 11 degrees '26 minutes 00 seconds East 767 . 10 .
feet to a stone monument set in the Southerly side of Main
Road; thence along the Southerly side' of Main *Road North
81 degrees 49 minutes 10 seconds East 194. 20 feet to a'
stone monument; thence continuing along the Southerly side
of Main Road North 89 "degrees 33 minutes 30 seconds. 'East
23.2. 16 feet to the point or place of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town. Clerk be and he hereby is author-
ized and directed to cause notice of said amendment, to. be posted and
published pursuant to law. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Martocchia;
Councilmen Valentine and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.

WHEREAS, Andrew Cassidy, Albertson Lane, Greenport, New ,York, by petition
verified the 24th day- of August, 1970, petitioned. the. Town .Board for a
change of zone .pf certain property situated near the Villageoof Greenport,
N.Y. described in said petition from "A" Residential. and Agricultural
District to "B-2 " Business District, and
WHEREAS, the said petition was referred to the Southold Town Planning
Board for its official recommendation and report, and the Suffolk
County Planning Board and the Village of Greenport,having been notified,
and '
WHEREAS, the Town Board pursuant to due notice thereof, held a hearing
thereon on the 27th day of October, 1970, at which time all interested
persons were given an opportunity 'to be heard,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Building Zone
Ordinance including the Building Zone map, be amended from "A" Resident-
ial and Agricultural District to "B-2" Business District on .,the follow-
ing described property:
ALL that certain tract of land situated at south side of
Main Road, Greenport, New York, in the Town of Southold,
County of Suffolk, and more particularly bounded and
described as follows :
Bounded northerly by the Main Road running between -
Greenport and Southold; Easterly by the land and buildings
of Dri-Gen Realty Corp. ; Southerly by. the land of Long
Island Railroad Company; Westerly by land and buildings
of Fleet Lumber Company; containing an area of 4:26. acres.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is
authorized and ,directed to cause notice of said amendment to be
posted and published pursuant to law..

RESOLVED: -'That Supervisor Martocchia be and he . her.eby is authorized
to request AhQuit Claim Deed- from the State of New York for property
west of Greenport Village for use as a park and rest area; said .
property located near Pell ' s Garage.

WHEREAS, John Tuthill applied to the Town 'Clerk for a single trailer,
renewal permit dated October 21, 1970,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of. John Tuthill
to locate a trailer on the east side of Elijah ' s Lane, Mattituck, be
and hereby is granted for a period of six ' (6) months..

RESOLVED: That the Southold .Town. Board accept a Bank Book in lieu
of Bonds in the -amount of $13 , OOO- as recommended by the Southold
Planning . Board for the completion of roads and other improvements
in the'- subdivision known- as HIGHW.OUD, . Southold, N.Y-. owned by Lefferts
Edson, Southold, N.Y.

RESOLVED: That the. Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to 'request
the Greenport Village Light & Power Company to, place 400 MVOR Street
lights on Greenport Village poles #6, 8, 10 and 12, Main Road, West
Greenport, N.Y.

and Rich; Justices Demarest and Suter.

The 'Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor., Albert :.
Martocchia, 16 South 'Street, Greenport, : New York, on November 24, 1970,
with the following present: Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Rich
and Valentine; Justices Demarest and Suter; Town -Attorney Tasker ;
Supt. of Highways Dean and .Town Clerk Richmond.

WHEREAS, the Town of Southold has requested the .County of Suffolk -to
dredge a navigation. channel. in West Harbor, Town of Southold.- and. .
WHEREAS, the County of Suffolk proposes to do said dredging of West
Harbor in the-Town of- Southold at a nominal cost to the ,Town of Southold,
and
WHEREAS, ii order .to: accomplish .said dredging, plans, . specifications, :
agreements - and other- documents must, be executed ,on behalf of the' To'Wn-"
of Southold; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized to execute,
on behalf of the Town of Southold, all necessary plans. and specifications,
spoil area agreements, assurances to the County of Suffolk,- lic.ense and/or
dredging applications to Federal-. and State Agencies and all other _.:
documents that may'. be required to accomplish said dredging work, ,
ASSURANCES' FOR DREDGING. AT WEST HARBOR ,AT FISHERS - IS19AND, ,TOWN
OF SOUTHOLD, NEW YORK
WHEREAS, ' the. Town ,of Southold has requested the County of Suffolk to.
dredge a navigation channel in West Harbor, Town of Southold, as.'-shown
on the accompanying maps, and
WHEREAS., the County of. Suffolk proposes , to do said dredging,� and
WHEREAS, the Supervisor of the Town of Southold by..resolution duly
_adopted by the Town Board of said Town of Southold has been authorized
and directed to sign for and on'behalf- of the Town of- Southold assurances
to the County .of Suffolk, that the said Town of Southold- willpperforiri-
all acts required to be' performed by said Town, in connection with the
preparation for the dredging operation as aforesaid and obtaining of
all necessary easements and..rights. of way for said dredging operation
and use of areas indicated on the attached map for spoil areas together.
